@@CD-vb9fi because doing things that are harmful won’t always yield the most negative consequences but still doesn’t justify doing them. Example you can drink and drive and get home fine but that doesn’t make it ok. Like not wearing a mask can lead to you or your family not contracting covid but that doesn’t make it ok simply bc the worst result (you or your family getting it and dying) didn’t happen. Get it?

He didn’t lie in this at all. White women lives aren’t the worst
@rolanddeschain6265
@rolanddeschain6265 Жыл бұрын
White women living in rich developed countries genuinely have it the easiest of any group of people on the planet. Compared to white men alone, they're more likely to receive a good education, more likely to receive government assistance, more likely to receive support from their families, less likely to suffer homelessness, ineligible for the draft, more likely to be hired for non-physical-labor jobs, vastly more likely to receive child support/custody/alimony in a divorce, more likely to have a circle of close friends, and less likely to be the victim of homicide OR suicide. Oh, it's also basically impossible for a white woman to be sentenced for a serious crime unless the evidence is overwhelming and heinous, and even then they'll receive half the punishment a man would for the same crime. There are currently about 2,500 death row inmates in the USA. Only 50 are women. Do they have perfect lives? No, obviously not. In particular the way the medical system treats women is pretty ugly, sexual harassment etc is unpleasant and frequent, and there's plenty of misogynistic stuff happening out there like mechanics trying to rip them off or old white guys at work talking down to them. But on a day-to-day level most white women walk around falling ass-backwards into money and luck, are never forced to do backbreaking labor to survive, and never see the slightest consequence for bad behavior. Must be nice.

If you’re a black woman and can’t recognize very elementary misogyny, or the problem with blaming systemic issues on another oppressed group to deter from focusing on the actual problem, maybe you shouldn’t lean on your identity as some kind of proof you know what you’re talking about. Edit: since this got a few likes I will elaborate and say I like Bill burr and I understand cancel culture can easily get out of hand. I just dislike it when people tokenize themselves and step up to be ambassadors of their group the way OP did.

This is really the best take. Too many people think that because some people didn’t like it makes it genius. Like it wasn’t bad, it wasn’t great. He didn’t say anything too revolutionary and most of it was playing pretty safe. People hear the premise and instantly jump to a conclusion, and that goes for both sides of the coin. They either hop on it for being offensive or praise it for being offensive; when it isn’t.
