Fuk that money is fake and it becomes worthless faster than you can save it. I don't know how many times I've paid for something and then just walked the fuk away because I was tired of waiting for dumbass people. And I am no trust fund kid, my mother was on welfare as I grew up and now I work my ass off for the money I make. I do it to support living not because I think money is worth something. And at my age saving that money seems pretty useless since our country is damn near 20 trillion dollars in debt and by the time I get to retirement age we'll be going by the fuking yen. Use and waste that worthless paper while people still think it's worth something.

Speakdino so then why’re you judging him or complaining about it? It’s the exact same thing for gyms. They can offer such insanely low prices, especially places like planet fitness, because they get people to sign up and then never cancel. As long as you’re actually using your membership, these lazy people are making your life easier and letting you pay lower prices than what you’d otherwise have to pay. The problem is the call center management and training. Most call centers are measured on their "average handle time". Bill's approach to money is so relatable to me on this one. The struggle to go thru all those hoops for deals is real.

WOOW you know I considered myself a person with very little patience. Or at least that's what I last knew about myself back in the day. That I inherited my father's lack of patience because I freak out at traffic when I'm running late to meet a friend for coffee that's gonna not make a big deal of it if I'm a few minutes late. But I'm listening to this and I'm weirdly proud of myself because I've been in those situations and handle it like a champ. I'm thinking, you know what? I might have more patience than I thought.

I dearly want to have a relationship like this, they clearly love each other, hes rough, eccentric and opinionated. She's strong, also opinionated and caring. Even when they dosagree heavily they still love each other and dont attack each other. Looks like their relationship is very good

Holy shit My respect for Bill just fucking went off the roof. Dude's been working all his life and he didn't have anything handed over to him. Imagine being 8 years old and having the dicipline to do the paper route everyday till high school and then job after job. That's how he got so much real world perspective and got to where he is at. He has fucking worked really hard all his life. I've done nothing man compared to him. Lazing around in college smoking weed. Man fuck this shit what the hell am i doing with my life. Fuck this.

I'm 37 and I feel like I've never not been working. I started assisting with teaching swim lessons as my first job as soon as I was old enough to start legally working. My family had a similar level of income as most of my friends families, but I was kind of the only one of my friends that was working. A few of my friends definitely didn't have their first job until after they had graduated university. My family was definitely the type where once you hit the age to be able to work you had to find a job and if you were out of work they would send me out to apply to different places and tell me that you can come back when you've lined up an interview. I feel like Bill Burr has a pretty good work ethic since he basically treats the podcast like a job and makes sure it always gets done.

I saw my Parents destroy themselves & my family over Money.(Old man was a Alcoholic Gambler) So I never had an affiliation with the stuff (money). My foster parents taught me that money was just a tool that made your hands stink. That a craftsman can turn money into anything he wanted. But you don't need it to be happy. Like you, I cant be bothered with the hours of frustration lingering on the phone wading the deliberate maze of crap designed to drive you to despair, eventually leading you to hang up, with the organisation winning the contested financial difference. If I were to add up my losses . I'm sure I could have another House paid for in cash. But like you said it's only paper with ink & a number.Sad that so many people risk their lives & even die for it. I did work my ass off & did well in the Corporate Sector. I also had a paper run when I was 10 years old. Nothing a bit of hard work wont fix . You crack me up Bill ...... Love You, Mia & your Podcast .

So fucking true, some of my friends are poor and waste their shit end job money buying speed or pot. Not like addicts, and they are good people, but fuck, get a better job. How can you set the bar so fucking low at 30! Can even go to the bar and get a drink because they're too poor to tip or even afford the beer. YOU ARE FUCKING WITH MY LIFE.

Why doesn't he just have Nia do it? Jesus, at $50 a month that's $600 a year, and at 15 years that's $9,000 total.
