One of the greatest thrills of my life was opening for the "Sons of Champlin" in the '70's. Then having Terry Haggerty play on my album. This set is a real FIND! Thanks for posting. Champlin and company can do no wrong here! God bless us, and happy 2024.

As a lifelong fan of Bill Champlin's I can honestly say this among the best performances I have ever seen him pull off. What a delight it is to hear your favorite artist backed by an orchestra of this caliber. I only wish everyone had the opportunity to see this great performance.

Hey! Where’s the “over singing” we got so used to hearing when he was with Chicago? Alpha males like Bill Champlin or Peter Cetera have no extra room on stage to share. That’s just the way it is. I feel a little sorry for Jason Scheff who had his lead vocals buried by Champin’s background vocal grandstanding for decades, the poor bastard.
@bradlyscotunes91564 ай бұрын
You're the poor bstrd who doesn't get what a gift Bill's vocal is ..

Ouch!! I was sooo happy to realize that they started out with one of my favorite songs ever - "Keys To The Kingdom", just to get a fat slap in the face by these incredibly ...white, back up musicians. Is it possible to play with more lack of groove? The rhythm section is clinging on to Bill and their f*¤#&*' sheet music. How can we (the listeners) get kicks out of this, when the musicians are TOTALLY stripped from passion? This is music that's supposed to be played with soul, where's the horniness? It's stiff all right, but hardly in their pants. Here's one of the greatest musicians/performers/song composers ever, comes for a visit, and this is what Norway decides to hand him. - If you guys can't pull it off, at least have the courtesy to stay away! Sorry for being very harsh, rough and honest. Bill delivered the goods, big time!
