So much of this video has loads of passion and effort put into it. It took a while for this video to come out, but given the amount of edits and animation in this, I understand why. I can even agree with some of the issues brought up with the conclusion. When I saw the episode, it came as a shock to me that Bill won, and I personally felt that they explained well enough, even if I get why people felt Discord should've won. As someone whos had some minor problems with characters cameoing in death battle reviews I must say This Was Peak The banter the abridging of the fight all flowing with the review flawlessly, the caneos made sense deadpools comments were awesome Gwenpool showing up to give criticisms was awesome everyone had a purpose! Well, This is unique. Looks like Jonathan the animated character is taking the backseat this time and letting the combatants doing the talking along with Dead and Gwenpool intervening. Truly a treat to behold. Now for my thoughts on the episode, when it was announced, I was wondering how they would do this MU and if they would do this MU justice. Once the episode came out, it blow ALL my expectations, this episode ROCKS! I make it no secret that this is one of my favorite episodes of Death Battle and my favorite episode of the season. The analyzes, the fight, the characterizations, it's all just SO good but what made this my favorite is how they handled the ending. How the letter Discord made in the beginning of the fight pretty much comes to play in the end, showing that Discord knows there is a chance he would lose the physical fight but would end up winning in the mental warfare against Bill Cipher. The chefs kiss of this fight and what sealed the deal for me to make this one of my absolute favorites.

I'll admit unpopular opinion I still think Discord would win even with the Book of Bill and I did feel their explanation for Bill winning in the episode itself wasn't the best which was even addressed in the video. Even with all that I think it's a great episode and one of the best ones they did so far. Scooby vs Courage is my personal fav so far, but this was still a great death battle. Can't even be too mad since Discord got the bigger win in this episode than Bill did. Also, this video was pretty fun too especially with Bill and Discord's interactions.

This has been a fun one and let me be clear I’ll make the review of mine on September 11th cause theirs no way to end on of that but in summary: The rundowns of analysis is one of best of visuals and comedy. Fight has everything I need, Catchy music and a Kill that is unique. Honestly my biggest disagreement with the episode is that Discord doesn't even try to pull out Unicorn hair. He's literally from a universe full of unicorns, and even if you wanna say those don't count, I don't see anything stopping him from grabbing one from Bill's universe. He knows the show, so it's not like he wouldn't know that, and the only reason the unicorn hair didn't work in Gravity Falls is just because there was a blind spot Bill could exploit. And that shield was made with just a little tuft of Unicorn hair, Discord could grab the whole damn mane and make a sweater out of it. So it's weird to me he didn't even try, nor was it brought up, despite the weakness itself being brought up more than once.

Well, as covered in the episode itself, Unicorn hair (by itself) doesn’t actually DO anything to Bill. This is also proven in the Gravity Falls tie-in website, where there’s a painting of Bill riding a unicorn and is just unaffected. What Unicorn hair *is,* specifically, is an *important ingredient* to *any* anti-Bill spell or barrier. And as the Book of Bill has gone on to show, it’s a temporary measure at best, as given enough rage he can just *melt* through it and *ignore* the nullification of his powers entirely to use them anyway/he gets EVEN stronger to use them regardless. Essentially, Discord would be hurting, not helping, himself with the Unicorn hair. Because it’s useless on its own, and if he did whip it out and (successfully, somehow) use it in conjunction with his magic to make it Anti-Bill, Bill would get stronger via rage and outscale him entirely (based on the logic of the episode saying Bill’s capabilities were higher dimensional, and thus infinitely higher, than Discord’s own at a baseline already.)

I know the battle isn't biased, there's just a big lack of research put into the match-up. They fail to recognize that a microscopic amount of chaos is needed to keep his existence from fading (Fluttershy, the LEAST chaotic pony in the series, was able to undo Discord denying his own existence just by thinking about what she thought a visit to his house would be like and acting on that) and the fact that the Mindscape isn't actual soul manipulation but a place of dreams that anyone, who is aware of it being a dream, is capable of doing anything with enough mental power (Like how Dipper, Mabel, and Soos almost dragged Bill out of Stan's mind when he allowed them to do their thing). If the mindscape is truly just soul-based then every being should have soul-regen since none of the attacks in that place deal permanent damage. Not to mention none of them express pain at the aftermath of an attack, just the initial force and the shock of the result. Not saying that Bill can't interact with souls, but that those souls are only interacted with when he makes a deal with that person. Not to mention that they speak of their over-time power increases being equal and therefor irrelevant is also EXTREMELY dumb. Discord, being the embodiment of chaos and disharmony, should be getting 3x the power boost Bill is getting for 3 reasons: 1. Discord gets power by causing chaos 2. Discord gets power from OTHER PEOPLE causing Chaos 3. Weirdmageddon is literally a battery pack for the both of them. Any power difference they may have had should have been made up for the shifted into Discord's favor regardless. I like how they made it so Discord atleast saved Equestria, but they should've really put a bit more effort into understanding both of their capabilities and the context behind them. There's also nothing stopping Discord from using unicorn hair to atleast stop all of Bill's non-physical attacks to give himself an edge if he chose. Discord could have also brought Bill into his mind, where all magical abilities are shut down aside from his own and then get rid of him that way.

I wouldn't say "lack of research" as the corner boxes do go over a lot more things, most notably the cosmology of both series, but I do feel that it's poorly presented and structured. I get why the episode didn't want to focus on that, but Billcord as a matchup is HEAVILY based around it, and even if a black box states that they consider Bill more powerful in that regard, the lack of elaboration makes their argument faulty in my eyes even if I do agree with the outcome. Not helped by the apples-oranges moment with the bewitching bell. Not trying to start an argument because your interpretation makes sense to me. Just trying to give my perspective on the conclusion is all.

@@JonathanFrostathan I understand that for sure, I'm not trying to say Discord baseline is stronger than Bill, but that Discord would *eventually* surpass Bill in power due to the chaotic nature of their battle and Weirdmaggedon itself. And unless there's something I missed, there is no black-box that has a statement confirming everyone in the Mindscape is a soul nor any recognition to Discord's own mind-scape, just saying that Discord wouldn't want to make a deal with Bill and thus wouldn't bring him into his mind despite knowing that's one of the few ways to win. They did alot of research but missed out on details basically.
