Thanks, Rob for this. As usual Bill's observations are right on point when it comes to being an artist and having an individual sound. IMO that is why his music is as listenable today as it was40 to 70 years ago.☯☯☯

I like Bill...he was never shy about practicing ordinary, solid craftsmanship. So many of those emulating 1950s icons often gravitate to all the ex- heroin addicts, ( 'Trane, Miles, Dexter, Evans, etc) as if drugs and not hard work could be a lazy man's shortcut.
