As a person who was a victim of BOTH growing up, I'll take the sexual impropriety over violence, every time, no question. Both physically, and psychologically- the trauma of physical violence stays with you a lot longer and a lot deeper.

If they call themselves Buddhists, Christians, or Muslims then I take them at their word. They are what they say they are. Just because they don't meet your narrow definition of what a religious person of that group is does not allow you to strip them of their faith. To say otherwise is to think fallaciously. Now that's not to say that extremists represent their faith, but it doesn't exclude them from it either.

Crap, this is the second Conan interview where someone stole a joke from Doug Stanhope! Doug's joke a few years back about how if he could trade in the experiences of being beaten up for being molested, he'd pick molestation every time. Not claiming Bill stole it necessarily with intention, and it could be a coincidence but it's hard to laugh at a joke I've already heard before from a comedian that I like better.
