This whole thing with "gender Identity" has gotten out of hand. It seems to be a point of honor or pride to stand up and say you're 'different' and go to extreme lengths to show it off and expect the entitlement. If you don't feel comfortable in the body you were born with; a guy who wants to be a girl, or a girl who wants to be a guy, whatever. You can make all the cosmetic or surgical changes you want to prove your point, but never, ever forget that you either have XX or XY and there's NOTHING you can do to change it, so live with it and don't expect special treatment because you didn't get the one you wanted, and deal with being limited for the rest of your natural (?) life not being able to fully cross over and pee in the opposite sex bathrooms, play sports for the "other" team or get a job based on what you feel you really are rather than what you are capable of doing. To convince young children who are not capable of the judgment to decide what they really are yet is truly abominable, and should not be the purview of anyone outside the family. It's nobody else's business.

Bill Maher isn’t wrong on the trans issue. Bill is one of the old school liberals of which I was one. The problem with the right, at least on the fringes, is that they are not willing to dialogue and persuade people like Bill. The key, in my opinion, is not to hit a home run on the first pitch. You win by dialoguing over and over again and engaging reasonable folks and convincing them of the reasonableness of your argument. Do not not aim your dialogue at the folks that are unreasonable. Such actions are a waste of time. Think of it as o e who is trying to g to cut a tree down. You don’t take a giant swing and then give up when the tree doesn’t come down. You keep coming back and engaging. It doesn’t make for good ratings on cable news, yet it does win the game over time.

I always say I'm a true blue democrat. I admire some progressive policies, specifically regarding universal healthcare and wealth redistribution, but I also reject the severe wokeism that has infected younger, leftist circles. Does anyone else find it weird that when leftists have to say their side is wrong every time without fail they also have to say well the Right too. without an example of course. Don't get me wrong, I can't stand the republican party but my politics are very close to the conservative American first side. I have never heard a liberal ever say well the leftists are wrong about this period they have to say so is the right every time. That is telling.

Two things grab my attention here: 1) Why is it when I watch interviews on KZbin, I see two normal people just having a discussion, no drama, but when I hear the TV in the background, all I hear is purposeful misunderstandings, manufactured outrage, and focusing on what appears to be bad. 2) It was refreshing to hear someone on the left point out the insanity of the "men can have babies" propaganda that has come out. I am quite appalled to admit that working in the classical music industry on the East Coast, I do not feel that I would have a career if I mentioned my opinion on the matter. And I think that this why a lot of centrist or former left voters are considering voting Trump: to have the hope that we could live in a world where we are not constantly punished for running afoul of a 'public opinion' which is really the wishful desire of a very vocal minority. Very interesting times we are living in. 😁

Just watched the complete interview... As intelligent as Bill is, I was amazed by how much stuff he doesn't know. Like cops being killed on J6, thinking Hunter's laptop had nothing more than d**k pics, Hillary denying the election results, etc... My respect has grown greatly for him over the last year or so, but he lost a few points with me on this one. Megyn was very fair and graceful in their disagreements, and Bill regularly and disrespectfully dismissed her with snarky chuckles. Anyway...

Making true common cause with anyone you can, whenever you can is the best long-term strategy for sanity regardless what your political beliefs are. Always be ready to do it. Even if its on the back of a dozen break-downs and failures. If the possibility legitimately comes again, do it. And attempt to keep the connection open and as healthy as possible for as long as possible. You do not have to sell your self or your soul to do this. When you really can't do it, that's fine. But to overlook future possibilities when they come because of the past is a strategic failure - not for them, for you!

He was hard to watch. He sounds exactly like a friend of mine with that underlying arrogance but badly informed deranged opinions. You can’t converse with them. It becomes ugly very quickly. Bill isn’t nearly as informed as he believes himself to be. He needs to get out of his bubble. I’m very sorry Megyn didn’t bring up the Twitter saga and Democrats behavior during covid. He seems to be such a lover of democracy, why isn’t he irate about the alphabet agencies denying people the right to information from very reputable clinicians? There is so much he should have been called on but wasn’t.

He thought a joke Jack Posobiec made on stage was a real opinion. He realized his mistake half way through commenting about it on his show and tried to fudge his way through his mistake. The looks on his guest`s faces were comical .
