I need a trailer for Off Road Boon-docking on Service and Forest roads. We live in north central Washington state in a very mountainous area. Even though we had our home built into the side of our 1/4 of a mountain, we still Love camping in other mountainous areas, not just here in WA, but also in ID, MT. We’re members of the WA BDR. The BDR (Back Roads from the Columbia River on the Oregon / WA border to the Canadian border. It’s a 575 mile trip). Our pickup is a 23 Tacoma TRD Off Road, double cab with the 6’ bed. I can tow up to 6K #, but obviously want to keep my trailer as light as possible so I need an all Aluminum trailer.

I like the space allocation, your thoughts on 24v and the fact that you have a "real" toilet on board. Also, the pellet media for your wood burning stove is brilliant! You can dual-use it with a pellet smoker and media is readily available. Many well-thought out features on this build.

Really cool build. I can see why some think it's missing a female touch. This reminds me more of a rolling hunting camp or man cave. But Scott built something awesome here for someone to live off the grid for extended periods, or full-time at campgrounds. Someone is going to get a really sweet camper.

Actually, rides very nice with the heavy-duty wet shackles and the big difference is the Road Armour equalizer that removes much of the transmitted force to the trailer. It greatly improved going over bumps and rough roads no more chugging from the hitch.

Strange to have that highly detailed and extensive breakdown and explanation of a trailer "for sale", and not give atleast a ballpark figure of what he wants to sell it for. I'm not currently in any position financially to buy this trailer. But still am curious how much, just to guide me price range wise, in what a similar future build of my own would entail financially speaking. Not a critique at all, just was curious. The problem with trying to compare my build to what you might do is too many varibles. I did all the work myself with no help at all. I specd out all the equipent with high grade electroics and components. Most people want to budget build and not invest the 20K plus and a year of building I have invested.

It was a 5000 btu unit and it just did not keep the unit cool. The 13,500 BTU Furrion is efficient and will make it very cold if you set it that way.

2005 GMC 3/4 ton with Duramax diesel and Allison Trans. A great combination. I had a 2018 1/2 ton Silverado with the 5.4 v8 and it was just ok. It struggled in the mountains but was fine on highways. The trailer is still for sale and I am negotiable on price if someone was serious about buying. So far just tire kickers not serious about buying.
