‘SOS’ breaks the record for the most Hot 100 entries from an album, with a total of 37! Overall, ‘LANA’ is a decent deluxe release but you can also definitely tell it’s an album full of add-ons. ’30 For 30’ will likely become SZA’s next hit but I really hope she’ll eventually push ‘Kitchen’ as a single!

Sorry for being late, was on a trip. BOTW: 30 for 30 - Really love it when these 2 artists work together, and this is no exception. HM: Kitchen - It was between this and Drive, but this one stood out to me more. No DM for me WOTW: Snowman - I always thought Sia's vocals sounded like a southern woman imitating Sia, so that's something. Next week, the charts are resetting, probably that new Morgan Wallen single and maybe some Bubbling Under tracks that we can either praise or make fun of.

So with 2024 over, I'm gonna talk about my five favorite songs of that year. The thing is while these are for sure thing my favorite songs of the year, ordering them is a different story. I feel like I can go on Randomizer to decide the order, and still be satisfied with the placements for the list. If I look and think I should've put a certain song higher or lower, I wouldn't be surprised. 5. Heaven's Got Nothing On You-The Struts: This song being five is the one part of this list I'm 100% sure about. This probably has one of my favorite Struts choruses. I know it's supposed to be steamy, but there's something about the atmosphere I adore. And yet it's strangely cute at the same time. The line that the song is named after is so corny that it goes back around and becomes adorable. 4. Laminate the Sky-OMBIIGIZI: It may not be Sabrina Carpenter or a song with 100,000,000 views, but it's still pretty good. Just a wondetful piece of art that it's impossible to not be charmed by and I have nothing new to add that I didn't already say in the September 7th episode of Billboard Breakdown. I guess there's how I compared it to a Ivan Campo song, and this song ended up being a good substitute after the real new Ivan Campo had a disgusting music video. 3. Claw Machine-Sloppy Jane ft. Phoebe Bridgers: I gave this song a comment before, and looking back, wow, I really underestimated how good it was. It might be better than any 2020's Oscar nominated song? No, it IS better than all of them combined. It gets better and better with every listen. I'm probably gonna look back and think I should've put it higher. The song has some beautiful piano work that gets even better when the violins arrive. The lyrics have a strong amount of emotional weight to them, and it helps to that Phoebe Bridger's performance is fantastic. Shame this song got no attention at movie award shows because they only care about songs related to other movies they nominate regardless of the quality of the actual song itself. 2. Bright Lights-The Killers: Much like Laminate the Sky, I have nothing new to add from the August 17th episode of Billboard Breakdown, and I already wrote enough stuff here. It's one of The Killers' best. 1. How Can I Love You (Without Breaking Your Heart)-The Struts: Who said that I had to have a one song per artist rule? This was the song I listened to the most last year, and there's a reason why. The Struts' have been doubling down on how they're a lyrics band now, and this is one of the best results from it along with I Won't Run. I take back what I said about Forbidden Road because this is making the most out of cliches. You might think after adoring the first two, the idea of not loving their third 2024 single would crush my heart, but it's fine. I honestly would've been fine if we never got anything from them after their last album.

I know it makes more sense to talk about them before the main list, but I also wanted to have the main list in the main comment instead. -All I Ever Am-The Cure: So why is it that Endsong was the song I went into detail about when I talked about the album both it and this came from? It's because I specifically felt like talking about Endsong. -MOON MUSiC-Coldplay and Jon Hopkins: Finding out that We Pray, the worst song from the final Coldplay album, had fifteen writers gave me the same feeling as finding out that a shitty movie had a $200,000,000 budget. -My House-Royal Republic: I truly believe these guys have a cooler house than Madness's. Hell, I even considered talking about all the great discoveries I made last year like Ladies and gentlemen we are floating in space by Spiritualized, Meet Me in the Woods by Lord Huron, and We Will Become Silhouettes by The Postal Service. There's a wonderful world of music in the world. There's no reason to act like the guy quitting mining when he waa so close to diamonds meme.

Best: Love Me 4 Me and Another Life (when the textures are elegant and the mixes are well developed, Sza thrives. These two are the best examples of such in the album.) Holiday HMs: Santa Baby and Holiday Road (glad to see Laufey get a second breakthrough and Kesha finally return) Sza HMs: No More Hiding, Crybaby, Kitchen (the mixing of the production is a bit worse but these are still good) DHMs: My Turn and Chill Baby (worst songs on the album, full stop. At least BMF and DTM had nice sounding synths, these two have atrocious percussion, boring synths and zero opportunities to have Sza avoid belting in inappropriate places or checking out.) All caps WORST: Snowman (oh, this one's a long time incoming. This song was pretty neat at first but with every listen, it has revealed itself to be an insufferable shrill abomination with zero sense of subtlety and only slightly more tact. The melodies are uncomfortable, the vocals are suffocating because of how downbeat and miserable they are, the "I love you" is left as a footnote when it should be the main attraction, and the lyrics would have been okay if everything else weren't so shriek-conjuring and nauseating. It's one fucking nightmare of a headache, to the point I personally fear that Xanax and Arcoxia cannot combat it even when joining forces. When it comes to the SZA songs, "Crybaby" is one of the weakest cuts because of that uncomfortable hook. It's the exact same issue I had with "Blind" from "SOS" where one uncanny idea just ruined the song for me. "Kitchen" & "BMF" are great. Wow, you really went off on "Snowman." Yikes. I think the song is boring & dull with a weird lyrical sentiment

I think it's just that Snowman is on alot of those Christmas spotify playlist things and people just put those playlists on in the background and it slowly got streams from that I hope it isn't from people thinking yes I will play Snowman by Sia this year.
