What can we do to get the church to see Paul in this light ? The denominations teach that Paul says Jesus did away with the Old testament.

Jesus did not do away with the old covenant. The old covenant is for Israel not for the Body of Christ Church. The New Covenant is also for Israel and not for the Body of Christ Church. The Body of Christ Church is not under the law at all, not even the 10 Commandments. Romans 7:6-7. Israel is under the law. It's two different Gospels for two different groups of people for two completely different purposes.

It was the reigious Jews that came from the nations for Shavuot, it was their native tongues that was spoken from my understanding and prostelytes to Judeaism. Gentiles aren't mentioned that I can see.

Acts 2:10…Gentiles that converted. Many people say they were converts to “Judaism,” and that may or may not be the case, but what IS THE CASE is that they were Gentiles who were obedient to Torah (at least in the sense of observing Shavuot/Pentecost).

@@Saintjohnzman Yes that is what a prostheletyte (sp) is a gentile convert to judaism or Torah observant.

Exactly right: they were proselytes which makes them Israel. Acts 2 and 3 was not to or about the Body of Christ Church, that didn't come along until Paul was called in Acts 9, and only after Israel fell in unbelief. Romans 11:11 Israel is under the law, but the Body of Christ Church isn't under the law. Romans 7:6-7 specifically the 10 commandments.

@@Saintjohnzman Actually, Romans speaks of the law Covenant as a composite whole. Theologians are the ones who break it into pieces and separate it into sections. They do this mainly to point out that we are still obligated to the 10 commandments. But Romans 7:6-7 shows us that it is specifically the 10 commandments that we are delivered from. We are free from all of Israel's laws and from the curses that go with it.

Shalom to you all! I am new and watch you on You Tube. I wanted to comment on what you said about Moses question about who should I say sent me? Tell them I Am sent you. I may be wrong but I see in Revelation 1:4, 8 and Revelation 4:8 where we are told Grace to you and peace from Him who is and who was and who is to come. 4:8 I am the Alpha and the Omega.....says the Lord who is and who was and who is to come. Rev 4:8 The four living creatures....they do not rest day or night saying, Holy, Holy, Holy, Lord God Almighty, Who was and is and is to come. Since the Lord was speaking to Moses in the 1st person, He would have said say I Am sent you. It is part of what His name means. Moses would have known that. This is what I got from it.
