Good reaction. If I’m not wrong I’m pretty sure the song was abt her having to cut ties in a toxic relationship. She knows she can’t give her all so she doesn’t wanna give partial. The person she’s referring to doesn’t want things to end but she knows it’s mentally draining and won’t work out.

I agree but I think the guy is definitely a "situationship", like one of these guys who want to fool around with you but just call you a friend and won't commit. Then you just have to act like you're happy with it even if you aren't.

"call me friend but keep me closer" Tell me you love me but treat me like I'll betray you? Seems like it speaks to what someone says they feel about someone versus how they actually behave. Could be even be in reference to someone who wants a friend with benefits as opposed to a real connection.

The stuff in the glass is supposed to represent the toxicity in the relationship. She knew it wasn't good for her, thus the hesitation just before drinking it. But she drank it anyway and it overwhelmed her and spilled out of her eyes. It's not CGI btw, except to edit out the tubes that held the liquid. That glass was full of all kinds of stuff, including charcoal water. There was a tube in it that was edited out to drain it off into a bucket two people were holding below and behind her. some of it still got into her mouth, though, and she said it was the nastiest stuff she ever tasted lol. Also the tears were real. There were tubes coming over her head and to the inner corners of her eyes. The tube in the glass and the tubes on her head were edited out so this is what we get.
