I think they blatantly forgot to mention that Elon has laid out the reasons for his decision, it's not that he's in a radical or an extremist, it's quite the opposite, and he showed the cartoon on x that demonstrated how the landscape had changed under his feet and when he looked up the Democrat party didn't represent what they had represented before and therefore it was easier to agree with the more moderate positions on the right then the extreme positions on the left. There's a lot of nuances here that are ignored and obviously the interviewer thinks that there is some kind of important point to make that he's losing money and this is somehow important, the scale of funding available and the scale of possible failure and recovery from that is vastly underestimated and I think most people who can't build infrastructure and can't write code also can't imagine how someone could just take this over, pick it apart, take out the pieces that aren't working, revert the pieces that are misapplied and move ahead. Which is exactly what he did.
