The problem is that people think a president is going to fix all their issues
@edennis857818 күн бұрын
Even if one president could magically fix everything, that's 4 years. The next time, everything could change again. At 70 years old, I've been through enough rounds of up and down that I have look at the long game. It's the social disintegration over the long term that is the problem.
@kirkwilson590518 күн бұрын
Disagree with that fully. A president isn't in a position to "fix all their issues". But the choice of president can certainly reduce not only the current issues but prevent more from occurring. Or, if chosen unwisely can cause more than you already have. Presidential choices do matter. To what degree is debatable. And between the two this time around the better choice was made. No other choices were available.
@thedalillama17 күн бұрын
Some people, yes. The people I know, however, want their president to stop causing problems. There's no question many of our presidents caused major problems.
@jwd55717 күн бұрын
If any of these presidents could bring back the gold standard to stabilize our currency I think that would help alot, although maybe hurt at first. BRICS nations understand stable currency, and are working on this. We really don't want to be left behind. But I generally agree with you, most people's problems are self caused and require personal responsibility to fix. People would rather blame others including Trump / Kamala
@dcbc99117 күн бұрын
No president will fix everything but the wrong president can sure louse things up. The outgoing administration's border policies is just one example. Ask anyone living in a 'sanctuary' city about that and the impact this has had on local crime. And do you own a vehicle or home? Shop for groceries? How are the prices to insure said vehicle and home and food prices where you are? Remember when this administration also wanted to outlaw natural gas furnaces and ovens? Really?! Some people still love America and choose to try to effect change. Perhaps a lost cause....

I don’t listen to propaganda cable-I listen to geopolitical, economists, demographers, scientists. There are huge changes and problems coming down the pike that NO politician knows how to deal with. Trump can’t change the weather with a sharpie and Kamala can’t solve poverty with pc language. No country is the perfect model-including the good old USA. Actually the biggest freedom is the ability to live where you want. I agree a global flexibility will be mandatory to exist in the future. I have lived in a corrupt military dictatorship and a psuedo parliamentary system quite comfortably. My regret is I didn’t get a second passport but I did learn other languages. We are on the way out the door to SE Asia to spend time away from all this BS. Our main motivation is a terrible experience with US healthcare system and not politics--don’t grow old in the US!
