Thanks for uploading this, although it brings back frightful memories for me. I was in high school when I saw Billy and his band warm up the crowd for presidential candidate George Wallace's campaign rally in Laurel Maryland on May 15 1972. The band then played Under The Double Eagle as Wallace walked up to the podium. After his speech Wallace was shot by a would-be assassin, not far from where we were standing. My friend and I changed our plans to attend the other nearby presidential rallies that year.

Excellent sir, it’s been along time since I’ve heard double picking like that. I’ve never heard of you till I saw this. When I was 1st learning guitar my dad got me on 🎉to it 63 yrs ago. It still sounds as good today as when dad played it. The funny thing these were some the songs he used to play to teach me. I still use this style at times when playing out. The crowds still enjoy it and so do I. Thank you Sir

Incredible! The only difference between him and other great guitarists was his exposure to the public. He is as talented as anyone I’ve heard. He should also have gained acclaim for the guitar skills.

Country music produced HUNDREDS of truly great guitarists from the 1940's through the 1970's.

BG such an icon. Such a beautiful and well-played tune also, under the DE, Classic. I have one of his guitars made for Johnny Cash, fortunate me. Wonderful to play

Besides being a top picker and hit record singer, Billy’s Grammer Guitars we’re the best acoustic guitars for country music ever made. They came out in the mid 1960’s and within a short time were being used by many of the big name country artists. All were hand crafted using only best quality woods and hardware. They are quite hard to find now (2024) as relatively few were made and the owners rarely let go of theirs.

I had an album: "Christmas Guitars Featuring Guitar Chimes of Billy Grammer" which is my favorite collection of Christmas music. Does anyone have or have access to that album that they can upload to KZbin or a resource where I can stream it? I'm unable to find it anywhere to listen to online.
