The Phillies announcers were the only ones who mentioned that nobody jumping on Diaz after the last out is important because of his celebration injury in the WBC about 18 months earlier. Most Met fans, including myself, were ending the season at 0-0 in March 2023 due to Diaz's injury, and that's the way it worked out that season. We have Diaz now, and let's just have nobody touch him. Breathe on him? That's fine - don't touch him.

@@ES-wv2ui Lopez was misquoted and slammed in the press for something he never said. He apologized profusely for the on-field stuff, and after getting released he put his head down and pitched brilliantly for the Cubs over the second half of the season. Dude had a few bad days, but he contributed to an incredible season and should get a ring if the Mets win one.

@@brooklynknightss I believe he's referring to original citifield before they brought the walls in with the orange and blue and the Pepsi party deck in left field. It was a triples haven for guys like Jose Reyes but a nightmare for power hitters like Jason Bay and David Wright. The old walls were that original black color u still see there, and it was called the great wall of flushing. Thank God they fixed that and gave it more Mets friendly colors as well.
