Bilstein B6's & Cusco Sway Bars for the RAV4

Figured I'd show everything else planned for the RAV4 performance minded suspension upgrade I have planned.

Your Rav4 suspension project seems so good and complete. I drive a fifth generation Rav4, and trying to make suspension more suitable for highway driving I did the following: First was Cusco front tower brace, which only add firmes and direction fast response. Second I lower it 1.3 inches with coils from RS*R Japan.and control and rear bouncing improve completely. Finally I add a Cusco rear sway bar, with this: highway speed became a joy and superb control, compared with original suspension. Although low speed city driving became a bit harsh, so much that I have thought in removing Cusco rear sway bar and set back the original one, or buy the front sway bar from Cusco and see if it balances a bit. Unfortunately there still aren’t Bilstein shocks for this Rav model. I have a question: What can you tell us about front and rear cusco sway bars working together? @84Hachi so how’s ur bilstein b6 suspension on ur rav4? I took ur word for when I said I want rav4’s oem sport tune suspension. So I have the front struts made for 3rd/4th gen rav4 and rear shocks that’s made for 2nd/3rd gen Tacoma, and it’s for my 2015 lifted Scion xB. For the rear shock it has the same top stem and bottom eyelet. Could u tell me about ur opinions, and ur experience about ur bilstein b6 suspension? Because I’ve been doing so much research and reviews about this suspension. And all they said it is fantastic and feels completely different.

Well, its been great. Still have some bits left to add to complete the suspension but life keeps getting in the way.

Did you swap to 4th gen RAV strut mounts too, or are those 3rd gen ones? Thanks

How do these ride? Do you do any off-roading with these? Did you notice any increase in your ride height?

I lowered it. It's set up for autocross.

do u recommend the rear shocks for heavy hitch use on rav4?

B6's are sport shocks, very firm. I suggest researching a little bit about B6's and towing.

I didn't know the 3rd gen and 4th gen rav4 had the same struts. Do you know what body type that strut is?

Um, its just a normal macpherson strut body with an internal bump stop.
