My dad made the baby you can chive my car once! It was so good the recipe did have too much salt in the deep fried pickles (we followed the official cook book) so if you do want to make it don’t add as much or any salt to the pickle batter batter or they will be way too salty.

That was Hellmann's, one of the better store bought mayos out there. I have made plenty of mayo, and unless you are changing things like doing eggless, or wanted different acids like fooling around with types of vinegars or going with lime, or using flavored oils, you really cannot go wrong with started out with Hellmann's as your base. It is good and allows the ingredients you add to shine.

Store-bought mayo can be just as good if you put the right spices in it; people are a little needlessly-elitist when it comes to some "store-bought" ingredients. @@c.f.bellairs1055 hehe, when I see someone make an ordinary mayonnaise, I always think, why bother? Sure, i can understand fancy methods or base ingredient swap outs, but not standard when there are good brands out there making it consistently good. You make very good stuff using a solid brand and adding the fancy things. Outside of the new menu every night type places, I have never seen the made in house mayo outside of a special of the night, where you make one batch and when it runs out, its over. Although I have made a ton of salad dressings that was very close to making a mayonnaise, but that is just because mayonnaise is a mother sauce, and it is really hard not to be using it's principals in other recipes.

Rewatching this because I just learned that my late grandfather absolutely _loved_ Bob’s Burgers. And since my grandparents lived on the other side of the country, I didn’t get to see them more than once a year so I never really had much in common with them. But after learning that grandpa loved Bob’s Burgers, and loving it myself for many years, I finally have a connection with him, even if he’s not here anymore. ♥️
