Made these for a Kingdom Hearts birthday party for my nephew. He was so ecstatic, so I just wanted to say thank you for doing an episode for this recipe! Flavor and texture was amazing! I made the churned cornstarch version and the only issue I had was getting them out of the molds. Ended up using a butter knife to release them from the sides, the hot water trick didn't work for me.

This brings back memories! I had Sea Salt-flavoured ice cream when visiting Tokyo Disney Sea in 2009. It was absolutely delicious, but it was so hot on that particular day (37°C) that I lost half of it due to it melting within just 2 minutes (I kid you not).

Dear Babish- I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for coming up with the corn starch ice cream recipe, I have never heard of that before. My kids are obsessed with sea salt ice cream ever since we saw this video and they are always asking me to make it. They don’t really care about the color, neither do I, I just hate doing the egg custard because it can be quite a pain and time consuming, especially with three little ones. The corn starch ice cream is so much faster and easier and they can’t tell the difference, they are just happy to have sea salt ice cream. We love it, we make it at least once a week and it’s gone within the week lol Thank you!
