@@blehh_mae when you first see the message, it’s basically telling you that the strawberries are just an achievement. They don’t unlock anything and aren’t needed for progression. All they can do for you is impress your friends in real life when you show them how many you got. When you get to the end of the game, you learn that the berries *also* impress your friends *in-game*. They’re impressed by the strawberry pie Madeline makes from them. Moreso tbr more berries you got.

A tip for elevating your strawberry pies: Add a mashed banana or two to the filling. You won't really taste the banana itself, but it does something magical to the strawberries. There is a weird synergy that you wouldn't expect, tempering some of the acidity of the berries, and it tastes amazing.

The most hilariously named dessert, "pets de soeurs" [pronounced: pet duh sirrrr] -- literally translates to "nun's farts" -- is a traditional French Canadian dessert made from pie dough scraps in the exact same way made in this video. My grandmother used to make these for us as kids. Ah, so many memories eating nun's farts...

That 'Powder Sugar' drizzle always tastes better if made liquid with lemon or orange juice. And since 'Lattice' was always too much trouble, I just punched rows of small holes in the top layer with a cigar tube. The cut out discs can be placed on the intersection of every four holes or pinched on around the edge for a nice use of scrap....

I'm convinced that baking estradiol pills for that long would totally ruin them and nullify any potential dosage you'd get from eating the pie, but I legitimately think there's potential in throwing a bunch of sublingual estradiol into a cup of cream and whipping it, or even dissolving them into ice cream mix to use as a topping on the pie. I'm pretty sure they contain sugar, so if you use enough you won't even have to put any sugar in anything but the pie itself. Granted, you'd probably die of estrogen overdose, but if nothing else it'd be one of the better ways to die.

The pie dough scraps reminds me of when I worked as a baker at Texas Roadhouse, at the end of our shift some of the guys on line would fry up the leftover bread dough and we’d put some cinnamon sugar on them and make a kind of churro/biscuit/donut-type thing that was incredible.
