I have 3 levels of herniated disks. After 18 years of pain Qigong is what helps most. I no longer take any pain medication. THIS ROUTINE is my pain medication!!! I am more energetic and my range of motion is fantastic! I'm 54 and I keep up with my twin 8 yr old grandchildren! Thank you so much Nick!!! You are truly making a difference in peoples lives!!!!

I’ve been doing yoga for many years but since I’ve started a new career as a therapist, I’m sitting for many hours during the day and yoga isn’t helping anymore! My back started spasming a few days ago and I’ve been in constant pain UNTIL I did this video and the upper back one. This is what’s been missing in my life! I will start doing these exercises during my work day and in the morning and when I get home. I’m looking forward to a huge reduction in pain. Thank you!

It was this session and the one for neck and shoulder pain that brought me to you. It's been 3 years ! Amazing. I am so grateful to have found you. That I keep on with the qigong is partly because I just love it but your enthusiasm, kindness, generosity, knowledge and humour and more keeps me a most loyal pupil. These freebies and the Patreon sessions are a mainstay for me. Thank you and thank you, dear Nick.

In the last few months of 2020, I began to notice significant back and leg restriction which developed into significant pain and immobility. I found Qigong here on KZbin and have been intuitively regular practice with different teachers. Today I found you! Wow! This feels so right in my energy system and in breaking up the chi in my lower back and legs. Thank you so much for sharing in this format because I couldn’t have known what to do otherwise. I’m 69, and I’m looking forward to my practicing on this channel and becoming more active and vital. I was getting concerned. ☺️🙏🏽

Hi! What unusual exercises! Some of them I have never seen. What I like in the way you teach is that there is no endless bla-bla-bla, like other instructors do, you get down straight to the point, and that's very good, time is precious. I looked through your video archive and decided to start doing the exercises from the first ones.. Today I have tried this one, awesome job! I feel great. And thanks for answering to my yesterday's comment. You are right, the lessons that I do on a daily basis are rather different, but I always bear in mind my physical condition at the present moment. So, it's ok. Thanks for the session, take care and stay safe. Larissa, Moscow, Russia (65 y.o.)

Reminds me so much of Lee Holden- similar voice! I think you were probably trained by Lee? But I prefer you, no offense to lovely Lee :) I’ve done this for 3 days and definitely feel a difference. The freedom in hips and pelvis is subtle, but it’s definitely there and I’ve been trying to have that in PT for awhile. I also really feel the stuck energy moving and completely agree that this is the source of my general chronic pain. It’s the first qigong I’ve done that I can relax enough to do for 40 minutes. So relaxing.. The whole thing just makes sense...very grateful for this, thanks Nick!!

Wow, what a great review! ;) Yes, I interned with Lee for several years. Even helped him film stuff in this exact location! haha Glad the routine has resonated :)

Followed this today, just a neophyte. I appreciate the explanations of what the body is doing, various views of same motion. I've had low back pain that nothing has alleviated until I found Qigong. My left hip inside pelvic muscle pops unexpectedly. Seem to get a lot of energy stuck there, now I can feel it and release the energy instead of having is cramp the muscles. I'm getting more flexibility back, and my dream is to get me back on my horse! Worth the journey - it is always worth it - Thank-you

So agree with Qigong over yoga for joint pain. I have an annoying disc that pops from time to time, so all forward bends are 100% out. It's entirely possible to adapt your routine to standing or semi squatting and the warrior 1 keep moving, as with all Qigong movements, feels so much healthier for the joints than yoga long holds, especially too much downward dog which has caused problems for others I know as well. I had a frozen shoulder which I put down to arthritis and was constantly painful and movement limited. As you said, I suddenly realised since starting Qigong, the pain has at least halved and it moves so much more. Thanks again Nick and keep the joint and immunity vids coming please!

This is just brilliant Nick. I injured my back with a lot of simultaneous twisting and lifting and this has really helped release the tension and ease what was quite intense pain. I plan to keep with this, even as the pain disappears because I appreciate how much it enhances one's awareness of the muscles and movements around the lower back. Really vital for well-being. Hello, This was a great lesson. I have been working from home since March 2020 and my lower back pain began soon after. I started seeing a chiropractor last June which helps a bit with other issues but not the muscle pain/strain in my lower back. You do an excellent job describing the breathing and the moves. I was surprised I could send my belly breath to my lower back! I will do this one often, I believe I may be able to reverse the pain. Thank you also for choosing such a relaxing setting in which to film. Nature is very high on my 'things that calm' list. Mary
