I totally agree with Pig when he talked about teenagers shouldn't be afraid to call their parents for a lift when they're drunk. I remember my father saying "If your kid gets into trouble and they're scared to call you for help, you've failed as a parent." He made it really clear to me that if I need help, I can always call him. I remember I ditched my father's car (I didn't get hurt and no one else was involved in that accident) and my first instinct was to call my father for help. Even though I ditched his car, when he showed up at the accident, he hugged me and told me he was happy that I wasn't hurt.

I decimated a deer with my moms car and I called her before I even realized how bad it was and she wasn’t mad. She was more upset with how upset I was. She also talked me through the stages of incredulous laughter to pure panicking hysteria.

So many people call me kind and sweet and I can attest for being taken advantage, mostly in my workplace environments like working without realizing I’m not getting paid and taking verbal abuse. It took a looooooong time to learn to not be a push over, I still have to remind myself to put myself first BEFORE. I can help someone. Had to end friendships from a toxic friend and I can for sure breath easier from it.

Id like to clarify that they were nurses assistance, not nurses. They were not actually treating patients but instead helping the nurses treat the patients with vital signs, assisting with ADLs, feeding, assisting with incontinent care and in general helping with the patients care. You can do this important job without any formal certification and minimal training in the US. Nursing assistant is often the hardest job in the nursing home setting. Nurses are licensed with college degrees. These women have no business being around patients with this total disregard and lack of empathy for another person.
@0nullnil
@0nullnil 3 жыл бұрын
Absolutely. But with those facts in mind that's also negligence in society's part. If nurses were better trained, maybe then more people would be saved and there would be less sick people. In this case though, they were taking drugs. They had no excuse taking drugs. The very fact that they even did that just shows how little they cared for the people they're supposed to save. It sickens me just seeing how little a person can care about their own kind.
@thenextstep2385
@thenextstep2385 3 жыл бұрын
At the hospital in my town the nurses make the assistance do everything for the patient. While they talk in the halls. And get a huge paycheck. If you have the knowledge don’t delegate to those who don’t that is negligent.

Well her sentence probably included murder, driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs. Maybe that’s why she got 50 years 🤷🏽‍♀️ but in 2027 if she’s still alive he said in the video she will get parole. But the fact that she hid the body and drug her friends into her fatal mistake made it worse for her. I wonder if she would’ve went to the hospital immediately the man would have still been alive. When I was bakeracted when I was 19 (I’m 21 now), I met this one girl who was diagnosed with a mental illness where she was literally too nice. I don’t remember what it’s called, but she would literally go out of her way to be nice, no matter how detrimental it was for herself and her health and financial status. She had diabetes but would constantly donate blood and plasma, she donated her eggs even when she was told she needed to rest, but would continuously- she basically donated so much of her body parts that she could without being “handicapped/disabled/or amputated.” She gave all of her money up to donations, homeless people, friends who needed money, and when she was about to lose her house, she was able to sign up her house on a loan to a homeless shelter, so rather than a regular person buying it, a homeless shelter program owned it, and they were able to use it for homeless people or as a halfway house for other programs. She ended up living on the beach under a bridge at most for two weeks, but it didn’t last long, because she gave away her stuff (sleeping bag, extra clothes, etc.) to other homeless people!! She literally owned the clothes on her back, not even shoes!! No underwear, no bra, no hair, just a shirt and joggers. She constantly got in trouble at the mental hospital because she would give away her food to everyone and not eat ANYTHING!!! She was so sweet, I felt so bad.

Yeah, but I would say both sides are wrong. It's like love. Coddling those you love lets them think they can do anything without consequence. However, harsh discipline only makes them feel unimportant. She should have told her that what the hairdresser did was insulting, but in a kind way, without asking for her money back. Giving her twenty dollars only encourages that action. His wife isn't required to discipline her, but I'd rather do that than encourage someone with an extra tip- even if they get fired the next day. There are always ways to avoid being taken advantage of, though no one will see them all.

I personally have an issue with being too nice to people. It started going away before COVID and that allowed me to get some more confidence when talking to people but after it, it just got worse. There are times to where people would blame me for something I know isn't my fault at all and I'd stumble all over my words. Saying "I'm sorry" is just so much easier to say that I just say it even at the slightest issue that isn't my fault either. Sometimes I say or do something without really thinking about it and I hate it. I let things go when I shouldn't and it sucks. But, I am starting to fight back against it and telling people no and why they're wrong. I still stutter, which sucks a lot, but it is declining. I think it's just cuz I've been blamed for so many things that I didn't do that I just put myself in a mental hole. But, I am slowly getting out of it. While being nice is nice and makes you feel good there are times to where an asshole is just being an asshole or where a person is just wrong and you shouldn't feel bad for correcting their dumbass. It's ok to be angry sometimes.

The woman killer was portrayed by Mena Suvari in the movie of this crime. I'm so sick of Hollywood not hiring a minority to play a minority and a criminal to play a criminal. They should have hired a woman of color who left a human in her windshield to play a woman of color who left a human in her windshield!
