@@HoodieHorizon it was, the guy was a committed vegan who jumped directly into eating mcdonalds every day, so it naturally affected him a lot worse than it would have someone who's more used to meat. but yeah, I don't know anyone who would think McD's every day for every meal wouldn't turn out poorly for them. not to say that McD's ISN'T unhealthy, it is, but the extent of how bad for you it is was exaggerated and played up for the documentary. the guy also made a big deal of how this vegan diet he went on afterward fixed every problem, so there's a possibility he was also trying to convince people to go vegan by portraying meat as horrifically unhealthy and the vegan diet as a cure-all

The thing is, he's heard it all and he knows it all. At this point, he's willingly choosing to ignore it and whoever calls him out on it is instantly the bad guy, weirdly not just to him, but his viewers too. His comments on his response video to Charlie were full of people supporting his behavior saying things like "That guy is wrong, what does he know." and "Don't listen to them Nik, you just keep doing you." I truly think the best way to help him at this point would be getting him taken off of KZbin.

If you look at most other successful Mukbang KZbinrs they still look slim and even fit despite eating large amounts of food. Because most of them still work out, some to extreme extents just to work off the calories. He just ate and ate and ate and did nothing at all off camera. He needs help besides that too of course, but gaining so much weight can impact your mental health and adding to his existing mental condition.

As someone with an eating disorder with a family who won't get me help, it's very hard with no support and outside factors that encourage it. I've managed to lose 8 pounds and keep it off recently, but I can't help but feel like I'm getting bigger, and that puts me into this depressive eating loop that makes me gain all the weight back. I'm in this loop of constantly losing weight but then gaining it all back again. It's hard. (I'm 280 pounds now, btw.)

I used to have binging problems (never got diagnosed but most likely had a eating disorder) and I would also lie to ppl how I was feeling good about the rapid weight gain or say I’m healthy nothing is wrong, until I got a massive wake up call with how I struggled to get up in the morning bc of stomach, and I wasn’t as big as him. I was about 88 kg and bmi 34. Today I started to lose weight to go back to a normal weight and have a bit more normal relationship with food and I’m in therapy (I’m currently 72 kg! Just 12 kgs left to a healthier bmi!)

Nick said he was diagnosed with ADD and OCD, but I really think he should get re-evaluated. I myself, as well as a fair number of people I know, have been mistakenly diagnosed with and treated for ADD/OCD. But after years of treatment and prescriptions not working, i went to a different psychiatrist for re-evaluation. When he looked at my medical history and previous diagnosis in our first appointment he just sighed and ran his fingers through his hair. He said "Okay. You don't have OCD or ADD. You have bipolar disorder and depression, so we're going to start treating you for those." Literally after a year on those new meds, my brain chemistry had leveled out to what it should be, and I literally no longer have bipolar disorder or depression. They were never chronic disorders for me, i had just been mis-daignosed and improperly treated for over a decade. Once they started treating me for the disorders i actually had, I was fairly quickly cured. Haven't needed any form of medication since, and am still doing great. I know that for many these disorders are chronic and can't be permanently cured, needing constant treatment, but regardless even if you're not someone like me who can be effectively cured, I highly suggest to ALWAYS get a second proffessional opinion if you feel your treatment isn't working. It might just turn out that you were misdiagnosed, and maybe you can in fact be cured.

What I've been thinking about is whether Nick might even want to be that big (weight gaining fetish/feede). That doesn't answer the question why he behaves as if he could be put in an institution straight away, but at least you realize that he likes to be fat and that's why he won't stop. After all, he constantly shows his stomach, posts pictures that go in the same direction on his OnlyFans and always focuses on how much he is gaining weight. Of course, that's just speculation. Nobody can be 100% sure what is going on with him. Possibly not even Nick himself
