"In a way, this sad thing, this.. this half-man, escaped the self. Highly intelligent, but devoid of so called 'free will', with all its convenient blind spots. What if he had been instructed to uphold the common good? What if he were a volunteer?" This is food for thought when you consider she's talking about the player in general.

She seriously thought that what happened to Jack is a GOOD thing? This lady's nuts.

This is honestly one of my favorite villains in gaming. I do feel that she in so many ways resembles Comstock from Bioshock Infinite but her sophistication and voice make her feel like a real person with a purpose. I was just in love with this character in Bioshock 2 and want to replay it again

I agree, I can't stop listening to her audio logs, she is such an interesting villain and I love hearing her speak

Her voice is very appealing to listen to and her part of speech is also very interesting. Amazing character!

I personally felt for Sofia at 3:17 She is just so excited at the thought of saving the world. And before you flame me for supporting an 'evil' character, think about this - based on her experiences and understandings, she is saving the world as far as she's concerned.

Oh, that’s cool. She says once you stop hearing the words, you can observe the people for who they are. I thought that was contradicting. -But, she is saying that words manipulate you no matter what, especially on the subconscious level. If you no longer hear the words, you are no longer being manipulated. It reminds me of how advertisements get people to buy products, but it involves more than just words; it involves all of the brain’s symbolic language mechanisms.

Trying to stop listening is the hardest thing i have ever done, i have only got as far as managing to dull the sound and even then i am not sure if i am deluding myself. If anyone cant honestly start listening to that tape properly and then drown out the sound just through sheer will of the self i will be very impressed....and then tell me how you did it

@TheFIRELORD15 that would not be drowning out the sound through sheer will of self, that is turning off the tape. So anyway

Sofia should write a book on how not to parent . . . . ಠ_ಠ

@WilfNelson1 It is a very complicated process, but it involves the absolute “truth” you hold on your subconscious level. If you could stop listening to Sofia’s voice, then you have successfully altered the interpretation and representation of “truth” in your subconscious. If people could achieve telekinesis, it would require the same technique (i.e. an absolute disregard of something as true or existing).

@auburnchick939 I promise, I personally know someone who sounds just like her. That was one of the reasons I didn’t like Sofia, if not the only. Lol.
