Thank YOU so much for sharing I love birks too own arizona and kairo sz 41,the kairo is most comfy cause the string in back of the foot is so loose and this feeling I only get with Kairos. They even look so beautiful on girls especially with painted toenails! Youre supposed to clean the footbed with rubbig alcohol or lemon 1x a month. This prevents bacteria buildup and stench

Thank you for making a part 2! I have the black leather Arizona Birkens I call them my “Jesus sandals” lol, and I’ve worn them twice, the first time for about a hour or so and the second time for over 4 hours and didn’t understand why they were so uncomfortable and couldn’t wait to get home to take them off, and do research of why. I’m flat footed on my right foot so that one hurt the most just like you said in the arch area, so now I know I have to painfully break them in 😭😂. I thought it was just me, wish more people would make videos so people can be aware before buying or be prepared for the journey lol

@@eva.evangelou update! I’ve slowly been breaking them in around the house and running small errands, and I can proudly say they’ve started to break in, I ran errands and went grocery shopping for about for about 3 hours and no pain, they really are getting better with time 🤗

crap, I´ve failed... I have more than 1 pair of birks, but within this process I noticed that I am a 41 regular, but some models, they tend to bother me in the arch area, and also bought and used 42 regulars, and they feel Awesome at first use!!! unlike 41's! so what, that makes me a 42 user? even though they look a little big on me, but just if you look closely and stare at them, then you´ll notice... so, at the end, maybe by using a size up and checking if they do not look so big nor they fly off your feet while walking, maybe, you´ve found the perfect recipe for the "most comfortable shoes" in the world!

Stimmt, der Zehensteg bei Gizeh ist sehr hart und auch aus Kunststoff. Somit kann er niemals weicher werden beim Einlaufen. Vielleicht auch mal das Modell "Mayari" ausprobieren. Die Zehenschlaufe ist aus dem gleichen Material, wie der Rest der Riemen. Leder oder Birkoflor. Birkoflor ist sehr weich, Leder wird beim Tragen mit der Zeit weich. Auch optisch finde ich Mayari schöner als Gizeh. Einfach mal testen.

Why did you wear them if they were not comfortable for you and you don’t like them??? My experience is completely different. I love them, they are comfortable from day 1 and my feet have enough space. No blisters whatsoever. But all depends on the form of your feet.

Buuuut... they are super comfy so probably the general idea that it would have been worth it and so many people were probably not so wrong.

Birks are just too narrow in the midfoot for me. When it curves in for the arch on the inside it just destroys my feet. Tried to "wear them in" for over a year but i had to give up because they were just too painful. Mostly wear barefoot shoes and theyre way more comfortable.

I've worn mine everyday for months from 5-90 min at a time. My feet still hurt wearing them especially the outside of my heel. I've gotten bad blisters and cracks in my heels from wearing them. :(

Oh so sorry to hear that :( sometimes the shoe just doesn't fit... do you have this issue with other sandals or just these? Sounds like you've given it as good a go as you could have.

@@eva.evangelou I've never gotten blisters on the sides of my heals. I have had issues with very cracked heals in the summer from wearing sandals. Yesterday I tried tightening the buckle one notch. They are quite snug (almost too snug) now but seem to feel better when walking.

Es müssen vorn und hinten einige Millimeter Platz zum Rand sein, wenn du darin stehst. Viele kaufen die Birkenstock zu klein und dann stehen die Füße auf dem Rand, was sehr schmerzhaft ist und natürlich Blasen verursacht. Die Riemen sollten locker eingestellt werden und schon gar nicht eng. Der Halt kommt überwiegend vom Fußbett.

@erikpedersen7843 if the toe bar hurts, it's probably a sizing issue. Usually it's because the shoes are a size too small (most people buy Birks too small, which is also the reason they never feel comfortable for some people: the bumps in the footbed are in slightly the wrong place). Another reason could be too tight/too loose straps. If neither, you may just not be a "thong-style" wearer and should stick to Arizona's. (I can't wear Arizona's because I have a bunion and the strap presses into it, so the Gizeh's are perfect for me.)

I love Birkenstocks as well they are the best , I wear them everywhere , even to the gym with socks. But they look soo worn and gross when it has your dark footprint on the leather, it honestly makes my sandals stink soo bad 🤢🤮
