I definitely didn't think so, no. Not sure what happened in the Orphan reaction. I haven't watched those early ones since I made them. Maybe at 5k or so, I'll react to my own stuff. It's so cringy though. lol Thanks for being on the journey with me! :D

Couple of things. Your plan is a sound plan. Work through the album's one track at a time. Different album every week. A good plan but just a point.....if you do this you will miss out one of the best tracks the boys have done. I speak of All Out Life.....a one off track not on any of their albums. Yeah this was a weird one for me, I skipped this and Solway Firth as singles because I didn't want to be spoiled when the album came out, just how I typically go about albums. But then when I heard this I was like oh no is this going to be a bad album?? Actually one of my favourite tracks on the album now. Like My Pain we were just driving with this album on loop, and at some point this song just clicked for me. It's not necessarily "slow" but it's methodical and plotting all the way through, and that chorus is so powerful, it really feels like we're past the typical Corey vocals and he's just straight up roaring out THRONE and I can feel it in my bones. So I would wager what happened was you don't pause the song when you're doing your second listen, so you heard that continual driving force and increasing energy, which is what I feel like this song really has going for it! I'm actually exposing my friend to Slipknot one album at a time, we just did self titled, and we're doing Iowa in November. I'm telling her Iowa is the one to be afraid of and we're going to rip it off like a bandage lamo

This song was one of my least favorite songs the were released prior to the album, but it's definitely grown on me as well. I really like all of the "industrial" sounds spread throughout thanks to Pin-Sid, as you would say. As for the Corey voice, maybe "Leaning against back wall with his arms crossed Corey"? I dunno, that's what I envision for some reason.

Whiny Corey? Nasal-y Cory? It's not something we hear a lot from him, if at all. But screaming aside we know what a fantastic singer he is and so it really shouldn't be a surprise that he has that sound available to him as well. Although I'm sure there's a little bit of fun stuff going on with the mix a well.
