They are Timpani Drums Bisscute. David Draiman... A powerful yet soulful voice that can go from warm baritone to angelic tenor, from clear as a crystal to rasp/distortion/vocal fry and back on a dime, which is incredibly difficult to do. He has a timbre in his voice that's just hauntingly beautiful and has pure tonal properties to it! An awesome talent. Try some more Disturbed please! Loved your reaction Bisscute.

Personally I think Disturbed's arrangement is better than Simon & Garfunkel's version as, in my opinion, this is not a 'nice' song it is a warning song BUT don't get me wrong I loved S&G's version when it came out in 1963/4 but at least with David Draiman's words in the song are more understandable. 🇦🇺🇦🇺👍👍🇦🇺🇦🇺

Great reaction - you have a talent for this. Your observations, reactions and questions are all on point - so please stop apologising when you pause the video - totally unnecessary (as well as being annoying). You already understand the principle behind a reaction video - which some fail to get - we want to see and hear your reaction in real time - that is what forms the connection with your audience. Pausing is just part of the process (as long as you have something worthwhile to say or emote). This Disturbed video is in my top 5 of amazing performances of the last few years (As is Jinjer - Pisces Live). Here are two more that I found really stuck with me as performances everyone should see: Eivør Pálsdóttir: Tròdlabùndin (Trøllabundin) - Live 2013 - Currently has 8.5 million views on KZbin kzbin.info/www/bejne/raTPXn5-fMpngc0 Filmed in Norway - singer is from the Faroe Islands. "Young powerful women playing real instruments and writing and playing songs the entire rock genre can be proud of." *The Warning* is 3 sisters whose music has roots in classic rock, with grunge, punk, and other elements mixed in. Try 'Evolve' or 'Disciple' or 'Animosity' for some of their new stuff.

Hello darkness, my old friend I've come to talk with you again Because a vision softly creeping Left its seeds while I was sleeping And the vision that was planted in my brain Still remains Within the sound of silence In restless dreams I walked alone Narrow streets of cobblestone 'Neath the halo of a street lamp I turned my collar to the cold and damp When my eyes were stabbed by The flash of a neon light That split the night And touched the sound of silence And in the naked light I saw Ten thousand people, maybe more People talking without speaking People hearing without listening People writing songs that voices never share And no one dared Disturb the sound of silence "Fools", said I, "You do not know Silence like a cancer grows Hear my words that I might teach you Take my arms that I might reach you" But my words, like silent raindrops, fell And echoed in the wells of silence And the people bowed and prayed To the neon God they made And the sign flashed out its warning In the words that it was forming And the sign said "The words of the prophets are Written on the subway walls And tenement halls And whispered in the sound of silence"

So basically a full run down on alot. David was trained as a Jewish Cantor to sing the Torah, like his father and grandfather. He was sick the night he preformed, told the producers he had it... they still autotuned him and it pissed him off. Simon has also said that the song is now his. And the final piece... the S&G version was a warning, David sang it in anger because the warning was not listened to. God asked David if he wanted the voice of an angel or demon? His reply: Yes.
