The original version of "The Sound Of Silence" was released in October 1964 as an acoustic ballad recorded by Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel. Paul Simon, the writer said: "We have people unable to touch other people, unable to love other people. "The Sound Of Silence" is about the inability to communicate."

It is good to cry, this enhances the reaction and makes it more real. I have listen to this cover many times but it was your crying that moved me and teared up. I am from the 60's when this song came out and you should find it and listen to it. Simon and Garfunkel had one of the most beautiful harmonized singing. ....Its 03:20 a.m.... here in buenos aires, i`ve never paid attention to the lyrics..and now i understand why this lady cries......really a very profound meaning....i would say.. a daily tragedy....in fact....it reminded me of this song guys...."The Sundays - Here's Where The Story Ends"..... 🤔.... Lyrics People I know, places I go Make me feel tongue tied But I can see how people look down They're on the inside Here's where the story ends People I see, weary of me Showing my good side I can see how people look down I'm on the outside Here's where the story ends Ooh, here's where the story ends It's that little souvenir of a terrible year Which makes my eyes feel sore Oh, I never should have said the books that you read Were all I loved you for It's that little souvenir of a terrible year Which makes me wonder why It's the memories of your shed that make me turn red Surprise, surprise, surprise Crazy I know, places I go Make me feel so tired And I can see how people look down I'm on the outside Oh, here's where the story ends Ooh, here's where the story ends It's that little souvenir of a terrible year Which makes my eyes feel sore And who ever would've thought the books that you brought Were all I loved you for Oh, the devil in me said, "Go down to the shed" I know where I belong But the only thing I ever really wanted to say Was wrong, was wrong, was wrong It's that little souvenir of a colorful year Which makes me smile inside So I cynically, cynically say the world is that way Surprise, surprise, surprise, surprise, surprise Here's where the story ends Ooh, here's where the story ends

Down with the Sicknesses needs to be your next video. David almost called off this performance he was fight a bad cold. The original band wrote this song as a warning. This version conveys more regret. I think Paul Simon of Simon and Garfunkel said this gets their approval. I think Paul wrote this in 68 or so. When I heard Disturbed was going to cover it I was hyped. They stayed pretty close to the original. I was hoping they would follow their regular style. David was trained to follow in his families footsteps as a cantor in a Jewish synagogue. Leading music.

When Art Garfunkel sang this song in the mid 1960's, with the voice of an Angel he told a story of what people were doing to each other. But five plus decades later David Dramin, with the voice an Avenging Angel told the story of the crimes of what people had done to each other, the same words but two different meanings to the story. Both versions a classic in their own right, but David's version made the song his own, my opinion. I like your reactions of music, music is life, love and loss and everything else that is human. Well done.

The original was in "The Watchmen" during the funeral scene. The original was Sang by Simon and Garfunkel.

I was in my car the first time I heard Disturbed's rendition of this song and I had to pull over because the tears just came on from nowhere. I just found your channel, I love the emotion that you expressed the first time you heard this. It's a very touching song from back in the 1960's and Simon and Garfunkel did the original and I loved that but this version took it to a whole other level. You keep on crying and listening to music, I love it that others find so much emotion in music like I do. Blessings. and thanks for the reaction video!

React to a song that is the normal style for Disturbed. The Light by Disturbed is very powerful and the official video tells a truly beautiful story. You will be truly moved and amazed. David Draiman is the lead singer of the band Disturbed and they do not normally use an orchestra.

Ok, third video I have seen now you reacting. It is great, you a bit emotional but that is ok, it is what makes reaction videos great. But I have commented on the last one I saw, stop the super bright lipstick (just kidding a little but still, stop it hehe). I am subscribing (of course I hit the like button every time), when I see you without that lipstick (don't take this seriously, I am trying to have fun to but yes I will subscribe if you take that of hehe)

Great cover reaction. To me Simon and Garfunkel the original writers and performers were telling us back in the 60’s when I first heard the song to get our shit together or the future won’t be pretty and David’s version is saying oh well the shit has now hit the fan!!!!! Just saying. So says Austin Tx!!!! 😍😍😍🍸😎

The other version of this song, (the video), in my opinion is better because the singer David Drainman was very ill with the flu when he sang on stage for Conan. You should listen to Pink Floyd.

Nah. You paused every 15 seconds of the video. You didn't get the full experience and this reaction was not genuine. Stop pausing so much

Still think the original is better, no sound processing or auto tune. Just what, Art Garfunkel could really do with his voice.

I'll sound like an ass but here it is. If you are this sad you need to get back to your family and more importantly start a family. That dog is nice but no replacement for the children that would bring you ultimate fulfilment and happiness. You seem like a very nice person and it hurts me to see that go to waste.
