Of all people Dave, being a VW fanatic, should know that the rear “hood” as he called it, is referred to as a “Decklid”, “Engine Lid” or “Engine Cover” but certainly not a hood.

I'm kind of shocked that the owner of this car would even consider customizing it. It's one of 123 left in the world. I also don't see how you can customize it, and maintain it's value. I guess, if you don't modify the bodywork, and keep anything you need to, like the original engine, brakes, etc. so that the car can be returned to stock. Interesting.

They put a freaking automatic in it from a vanagon so it has an irs pan under it🤬. There’s one thing to lower one with everything stock but at least you can put it back but this car there’s no coming back. First off it cost them a ton just to buy one and then now they customized it there must be over 200k in that car. It’s just not my taste. Learn to drive a stick.

Hi Dave, here in Brazil we manufacture an EPDM rubber fender trim. They are great and are exported to the United States of America by the company Vintagewagen. I think they are more resistant than the vinyl ones you used on the Hebmuller.

Dave, maybe this will inspire you to MAKE a Davemueller Cabrio of your own in the same period style, or perhaps a modern version like what you were doing with the carbon fiber C1 ? A carbon fiber with steel inserts (for bolt on components) replacement pan (2 styles for early swing axle vs late IRS) would be a BIG seller for the VW World.... rust resistant and strong. The rest of body can remain steel since it's well supported still in current industry. Can't wait for this episode !

I’ve had these comics since the late 90s. They were awesome then and still good. Kinda wish they developed another movie of this storyline or at least an animated series. But still gotta love them nasty zenomorphs.
