I told my artist that I hated him, while he was tattooing a smiley face on my knee cap, he laughed his ass off. I got a few pieces that day and tipped 140 on a 350 bill. I love my artist!

I took like $110 to my 21st birthday at a bar in 2013. Everybody was buying drinks for me and eventually I’m wasted and I really want some water. I walked up to the bartender and tipped him $10 or $20 (can’t remember) for a glass of water. He remembered me when I came in a year later and gave me very prompt service.

Tipping in Canada is a sign of respect. Unless it was a really shit experience, tip your artists. On a side note, when sending an appointment request tell them what your budget is, not including the tip.

it's common in america (where most of these people are) to tip people who provide a service. usually tattoos there are priced with the expectation of a tip.
