The speaker raises an extremely important point that gets overlooked by hodlers getting rich as bitcoin rightly increases in value against fiat. In the USA bitcoin is legally designated a commodity and therefore the law is that every sat you spend is taxed as a capital gain. That incentivizes people to save their bitcoin. So to really start spending bitcoin as currency that is not taxed, people need to move to a country where bitcoin is a currency and not taxed. Then there is the issue of finding merchants that accept sats. There is still a lot of work to do for freedom money to come into it´s own.

I would happily receive or exchange my income to btc on a monthly base, if I knew that I vould pay my bills woth bitcoin. Chicken and egg, I get it. The more demand for spending the more organisations and vendors want to accept BTC. Ill do my best spending more :)
