Great video! I was gonna mention that the Japanese version of Ristar actually gave him context-specific idle animations for every level (the US one just uses the determined angry eyes idle animation), but I get that would drag out the video if they were all shown off.

Se me quitó el hambre 😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣👌 No sé tú, pero a veces dejaba de jugar solo para ver qué hacía el personaje (en mi caso fue la super Nintendo) me gustaba mucho el del libro de la selva, que hacía malabares con los guineos y bailaba... My favorite earthworm Jim is either when he conks himself with his blaster, or when he tosses it up, catches, and blasts his head to a blackened crisp. Also, Taz in the first Taz-Mania is funny. He throws a tantrum, stopping the music, and a new tune plays to the sound of his tapping foot.

You should put a CRT filter in the post processing effects, most graphics of this area used to look way better on CRT screen because of pixel bleeding 👍

my fave idle animations are from CrashBandicoot 3. There's one where he plays wihktg his yoyo and gets tangled up The inheritance is when he's playing catch with a wumpa fruit, throes it too high then it splats in him

Looking back at Boogerman as someone in their 30s I can appreciate how much effort they put into the game. As a kid I only remember the burping and farting. Not to mention the overall grossness. Yet the animation was incredible. That music was also incredible especially the tracks for Flatulence Swamp and the Sewer Bonus Stage. Also voice samples were great. I still remember the first boss yelling "Get'em Buck Get'em!"

I really like the idea of developers making animations to the characters while waiting for the player to make a move. Basically telling you " hurry up" or " im gonna just chill and act the fool"😂. Every game i played i waited just to see how many animations came out of these characters. Most are pretty comical. Good times. Even today its nice games still do this than having a character just stand there in a daze
