Very beautiful. So blessed to hear the original words that were given to him. This song was sung at our wedding in 1981. The Lord is still the center of our marriage.

This brings tears to my eyes. No one can sing this and give it justice except Paul Stookey.

We had this song at our wedding 40 years ago. We are renewing our vows this Saturday, and OUR SON is going to play this. My husband knows NOTHING about this! I am so excited. Listening to these recordings today and yesterday -- I'm sitting at my desk at work crying. So meaningful. Thank you, Paul Stookey, for writing the song in the first place.

I had him sign the sheet music back in the 80's at a concert in Cleveland... We have been so blessed to have artists like him, Paul Simon, John Denver, and Jim Croce. There is so much music on youtube, I could spend the rest of my life listening and never run out of great songs and singers.

I’ve played/sang this at weddings, including my best man’s wedding (I wish it was played at my wife’s and my wedding. All the same, almost 30 years later... we’ve lived this song through our marriage (as was in the scripture it came from). It’s absolutely beautiful.

That song is so mesmerizing. In my mind I think of it as being a lot like John Denver's Annie's song.

He is a giant. So was his trio. Proof positive that the 60s were more than sex, drugs, etc.... Now we live in a spiritual desert by comparison. The evidence is legion, not the least of which in the music. It gives me joy that he and Peter are still with us. Mary was such a sweet, beautiful woman. Together they improved the world. God bless them. They make me happy.

He still sounds great! I like the 12-string version best, but he makes it work with the six. A friend sang this one at our wedding, and it's one of my all-time favorites.

I believe it's just a song written from God's perspective! :) You probably know many beautiful hymns which say something like "I the Lord, of sea and sky"... we don't think we are God, but are acknowledging the LORD God's perspective :)
