This is no joke... B1 deficiency was literally causing me full blown autonomic failure. From heart issues to GI dysmotility from my esophagus all the way to my descending colon. Nutritional yeast and benfotiamine quite literally saved my life. I went to GI specialists, neurologists, sleep specialists, cardiologists and it wasn't until finally I saw a pulmonology specialist of all things... because for some reason I was getting severe shortness of breath... and he was so blown away by the fact that I couldn't walk up a flight of stairs even though my heart and lungs were structurally normal. I asked him if there could be a Nutritional explanation for these symptoms... he thought about it for a second.... and finally said... "it's a possibility... but it would have to be so bad that's it's something called beri beri (b1 deficiency) but... that's just not possible in the western world today..." I do thank him for mentioning it... but I found it so odd that he said beri beri is a possibility but then it's not possible. Haha needless to say with in 4 hours of taking Nutritional yeast my shortness of breath vanished. Within 24 hours my choking during my sleep vanished and with in 48 hours of taking benfotiamine my global autonomic dysfunctions all started to improve simultaneously. This stuff is no joke. Thank you Dr. Berg for all of your insights. It truly does save lives. I will be letting my specialists know what happened and that YES beri beri is still alive and hurting people today. Cheers!

@@penultimania4295 how is a chiropractor not a doctor? They still have to have boards and licensing. I’ve learned FAR MORE from him than any other. Usual doctors are either arrogant or incompetent or both. Mostly it’s both as they’re lazy. If it’s not an allergy pill, anti depressant, or Tylenol they’re stumped. And most anti depressants don’t work and actually cause more problems.

Within two weeks my symptoms had improved at least 50% within four weeks my symptoms improved 80% and even if I don't get my other 20 back I feel like a new person. I thought it was so bad that I was going to have to go into a wheelchair and probably assisted living now I'm back my old self almost. @wonderwoman7969 Oh my, I really don't remember exactly what I did because it's been a year since then. No, I did not do exercise. I only took the B1 once a day from Nusapure Benfotiamine 300mg, with BioPerine. I stopped taking it after a month or so. Then, I started taking vitamins. I did some fasting and started taking D3 with K2 and magnesium from Pure, vitamin Code Raw Zinc from Garden of Life, and the Raw C vitamin Code. I also take 125mg Tocotrienols E vitamin from the company EANNATTO. I really can't say what exactly is helping me, but something or all has done wonders. I'm going to start on the B1 again. My cardiologist had told me that I needed to exercise because (in simple words) I think my cells are not getting the oxygen they need. I'm also going to start taking Beet Roots organic from gold health because it provides nitric oxide. Sorry I wrote so much

Went to a doctor because I had a long list of symptoms. The doctor did a bunch of tests and said there’s nothing wrong, in fact you’re very healthy. Then she prescribed an inhaler. I am surprised with this video! I know vitamin B1 long time ago from Vietnam, when my mother 72 years old, one day she had severe pain in her shoulder, my brother was nurse, he injected her liquid thiamine ( it imported from French) , the pain was gone. He told me that vitamin B1 good for arthritis and nerve pain , B1 has in brown rice ( the outer layer) . I started to eat brown rice with foods, I used Vitamin B1 supplements , I have never feel pain until now ( I am 69 years old) . About 15 years ago, my friend is nurse (RN) , I talked to her about that, she was surprised, because she had never heard about that from the school and the doctor she worked with. I hope if she watches this video she will remember me and she will think about how B1 is very excellent. Who else is watching this video, should use Vitamin B1 right away. Good luck!

You don't talk to nurse for medications usually. You talked to pharmacist. As a former pharmacist student, I'm very surprised with many comments in this place saying that doctors don't bother with vitamins. My pharmacist cousin bought a lot of Bcomplex for my grandparents to help them with their joints and nerve systems. It did help a lot. it's a common practice here in Indonesia to give vitamins when people go to doctors for non-severe problem. The dose is usually one tablet a day, that's it. Not too heavy, but it does supply your body. That's why it's called supplement, isn't it?

The old nurses had extensive nutritional education. As a matter of fact a huge .% of our med-surg RN board exams 50 years ago. When someone failed their boards, it was offer about the nutritional questions. About 40 years ago drs started being taught that all the old severe vitamin deficiency diseases were a thing of the past, with “modern”foods. I think that so many people were nutritionally deficient before then was that so many immigrants-especially the famine ravaged Irish came to our country from place as they were near starving. Then the Great depression hit, & there was a lot severe food shortages because of the huge number of people out of work. So most professors assumed that with plenty of food since the fifties, that really severe vitamin shortages were a thing of the past.

In addition, taking the B1 supplement (and dietary changes) has helped heal my GERD! I suffered for years and years, taking prescription meds for it. A shocking initial effect, but it felt like I was actually getting energy in my system. It’s calmed down now and I’m still tired; this is a long term chronic issue so I can’t expect it to work like magic. I haven’t taken it for a month even. I have always suspected my illness is nerve related because I will slur, drop things, stumble, have extreme fatigue, stomach pain, neuropathic pain, ocd, cognitive dysfunction, vertigo etc etc. I have never been diagnosed but told I’m completely healthy - however I am suffering extremely. I understand what you’re saying 😢….. This went on until I got my first computer. Then I started educating myself on symptoms. In the last few years, I’ve slowly taken myself off a lot of powerful medications & trying different supplements. I’m not where I want to be yet, but I’m a lot improved, better then I’ve been in years! I’m just recently hearing about Dr. Berg this B-1 vitamin. I’m trying it next. Oh,did I mention that I was in my early 40’s when this ‘hit’ me. I was in excruciating pain & was told it probably is ‘Fibromyalgia?’. I’d never heard of it. There was no testing for it, there was no cure, only prescription pain medication. I’ve replaced most medications with supplements, and doing so much better. I’m also 77 years old 🎉….

Seems like my DNET tumor, which has glioneuronal/oligodendrocytal root, was caused partially by lack of vitamin B1. During my engineer studies I slept poorly throughout school year, therefore I craved carbs, which depleted my B1 despite other healthy habits. Which caused the tumor and seizures as effect. Thankfully I discovered 1,5 year ago dr Eric Berg and dr Sten Ekberg and I started supplement certain nutrients. I feel better than ever before, seems like I was nutritional desert. Had another surgery scheduled with no guarantee to it's success. His wife was an old fashioned cook and baker. She had sweets on hand all the time. They were well into retirement when this happened. He decided to commit suicide instead of go through another surgery that had no promises for recovery to be certain. That was many decades ago. Unfortunately medical professionals have been advising procedures and medications more and more these days it seems to me. I have suffered with sciatica & POTS. I have Benfotamine in my cupboard but thought it was to maintain blood sugar levels. Didn’t use it because I take Berberine every day to maintain healthy blood sugars. Will go back to adding Benfotamine to my daily regimen.

Wow the same for me I have really bad sciatica , that as I write this comment. I cannot walk this is the second time this happened the first time I could not walk for 5 months. Now we have a hurricane bearing down on us in Florida and I cannot move around or walk. I also have POTS and my BS is starting to get a little high so I take Berberine and a chromium for it. I will try this Benfortamine. Can you please tell what brand you are using and also how much Berberine are you taking each day?Thankyou in advance! Hope you feel better!

They’re often very picky eaters and resort to fast food, alcohol and refined sugar to give them little kicks of dopamine. They’re typically unorganised, very impulsive and lack structure in their lives. At a very minimum, they eat poorly and drive themselves into nutritional deficiencies. One aspect of a very difficult question. Dr Derrick Lonsdale has some articles on the website Hormones Matter about ADHD being a nutritional problem.

Vit D supplements def help. Vit D is crucial for dopamine production. Levels should be around 100 or more!

Well I have been to see my pcp, neurologist, chiropractor and orthopedic doctors for over a decade now. Not one of them ever mentioned b1. I have suffered with sciatica and neuropathy. I have never been diabetic or overweight. Now I finally have something I can do to try to remedy my issues. It makes me sad at the vastness of disconnect between treating doctors and their suffering patients. Another example of our nearly broken healthcare system. Thank you, Dr. Berg for giving me hope. You are a treasure.

Clearly profit based. They will obviously not want to prescribe B1 which will cost at most $10 and would rather have you on $1,000 drugs and intervention a month. Very sad.

The disconnect has been there for years its just that once they became one with Government it became very obvious of their intentions for profit by getting the Government to block the people in and if they were not well informed they just went along to get along.

Oh wow I think you described pain symptoms that my 89 year old mother has been having. She is not a diabetic and in general good health, but she has leg pains, not cramping, but pain. This is also affecting her sleep. I eat ketovore but she still likes all her processed foods. I have a doctor's appointment on Friday for her. Can she be tested for low B1? Will they do that? She does take a multivitamin daily. I'm her caregiver and want to ask for the right tests for her. Thanks for these great videos

The test is for an enzyme's activity. Transketolase. If it's activities are low it indicates that B1 is in lack.

HPV is still part of the recommended vaccination schedule for children here in Washington State. They start offering it at age 11. After researching side effects, I have turned it down for both of my children. They try and push it for both boys and girls here every single year during their yearly check ups.

I’d like to say more, I am nail tech, my clients like to talk to me about many things included health, I have 3 clients had knees pain by arthritis, I talked to them about my mother, I advised them try B1 with the high dose, they trusted me, after couple of months, they were so happy, 70% good, their doctors gave them only pain killers. Now they continue use that with the low dose, the same supplements.

Many symptoms of B6 deficiency also showup as symptoms of B1 deficiency. B1 is NOT required in megadoses esp if you are having the bioavbl water soluble form of b1, along with magnesium, manganese & zinc. Further high doses of B1 should NOT be consumed in isolation but along with an active B complex to avoid imbalances amongst B vitamins long term.

For anyone who is interested, I hated the taste of Nutritional yeast to begin with. I tolerated it..because I needed it, but really dreaded the taste. Somehow, that changed into almost a craving for the taste! I take mine in pill form. I break the pills apart into half or thirds and put in a cup of water. After a couple of hours, the yeast will be softened and easy to swallow in the water. Not to mention, so, so yummy! I really do not know how went from dreading the taste to practically craving it. Could it be that my body just knew how helpful it was? Idk. This was a major change..and I look forward to my next order of it!
