Another one who fell down the rabbit hole!!! I recommend you start from the beginning, from the ep "one", so you can see their evolution. Over time you will realize that all the songs are connected. Love that band sm💗

I've always thought of their music as an "Offering" to Sleep. So this to me is Vessel's recount of a relationship but the song is for Sleep. Worship 🖤

Good second song to react to from their second album. Would love to see you react to more from “take me back to Eden” including the album title track, “the summoning” “granite” “chokehold” and “the apparition”. Their drummer is amazing and has video play throughs you have to eventually react to also, please haha :)

Welcome! Worship ❤ You should check out The Summoning, Chokehold, Granite, Take Me Back To Eden, The Apparition, Rain, some older tracks like The Offering, Dark Signs, Higher, Sugar, Atlantic, Hypnosis and The Love You Want. They are amazing, their entire discography is so good.

It’s at this point of the trilogy where sleep has fully taken over vessel. I believe that the creature in the box with the roots/vines is actually sleep and she’s controlling vessel in the music video.

I’ve always felt pretty strongly that Sleep is definitely a separate entity from himself. As a vast majority of their songs he writes seemingly about a painful relationship he’s dealt with. Therefore I believe Sleep is the metaphor he used for this person. He’s using art to tell an abstract story about a toxic obsessive relationship he had that clearly left him in a lot of pain but he can’t seem to let go. The concept of absolute devotion to some enigmatic deity fits that narrative as well as makes the story relatable in its nonspecific metaphors.

Subscribed for the Sleep Token ride! As reference to what you mentioned at the beginning of this reaction, many people have said listening to Sleep Token for the first time is like finding a new color that we’ve never seen before. I also recommend starting with EP one, Two, then the albums, which are a trilogy - tokens for the god of Sleep. Worship!🖤

For this video, you have to understand the parable of the vine and the branches from the bible. Also, the "she" is the holy spirit. Most people don't realize that in the original greek text, the holy spirit is female.
