I really love the contrast of her message; having confidence in yourself because you have more control of your life than you think, versus the night vision/ creepy music video as she smiles while singing in the dark. I feel like it's sort of a depiction of how we are all in the dark as we progress in our life. We will never know what the future hold of us but we can be confident in knowing we did enough, that we tried, and at least we handled what we can control is in our hands to the best of our ability. despite the uncertainty life has in store for us. So why be fearful in the dark? Bjork is embracing this uncertainty in her music video by dancing in the dark. Inviting us to do the same.

Sample track is "Clouds" by Gigi Masin, also famously sampled by Nujabes in his track "Latitude". Instantly recognizable. It's incredible how Bjork has been able to transform the peaceful, serene sample into a moody broody one.

Didn't know this and it's incredible how many layers of background tracks/musical layers Bjork has included in this track. It's similar to a few songs by Massive attack which are also incredibly "multi layered" with tracks/sounds.

And honestly.. idk what is on our hands someone explain please?
@carlykienow38613 жыл бұрын
@@acctgsbelajar It means that what we need to succeed, love, be ourselves, be safe, everything we've always needed is within us or at our reach. In the beginning where she says "look no further" that is because the power, the love, the strength that you need is within your hands and your reach. When she says "cruelest almost always to ourselves" that is true, if we loved and accepted ourselves truly, we'd realize that our future and our love purpose is "in our hands- it always was" Also, when she says "aren't we scaring ourselves, unnecessarily, aren't we trying too hard" it means there is nothing to be afraid of, we are causing this fear and upheaval. In "Undo" off Vespertine, she also talks about trying too hard, life/love/relationships being meant to be easier, "lean into it" which is something that people tell you when you are scared. Embrace it. "It's not meant to be a strife" kzbin.info/www/bejne/b3rLq6aPmZhmoqs At least that is what it means to me:)
