I have to laugh. At myself. I am purple belt three stripes and I couldn't do a fraction of those techniques. Very nice.

Yes. :) Thanks for asking. Things are going well enough, which means plenty of care, no injuries to speak of and steady progress. Learning a lot from the Roy Dean videos as I go too!

Wow, that's very cool. When I was 13 BJJ wasn't even in the States yet. Keep it up! That's great that you can train at your age. Do you have a good school and good teacher?

Your student did a hell of a good job but used a lot of muscle during his rolls, I guess that's the reason why you opened a can on his to demonstrate technique over strength. I love watching your videos and your students.
@kingwilly804110 жыл бұрын
I agree. He showed good but not great technique during sparring, which is why the Brown Belt in the Lucky gi (Stuart Cooper apparently) was able to hang with him even though he was smaller. I'm sure he'll smoothen out by the time he makes it to Black Belt.
@Benknowlton6 жыл бұрын
I wonder if perhaps like myself Roy tends to roll harder when in comes to beasts such as this man because of necessity or remembered stresses. I’m not so strong as many of the men I roll with so when I roll with certain guys, you know the one, I go hard in the paint.

Cómo sería la dinámica de los exámenes (tanto este como otros que he visto) Primero hay una serie de técnicas específicas y luego es lucha (en judo sería randori, en BJJ cómo se llamaría? Rolling?) Veo que es muy extenuante!!!
@dojomarcialaikidokai5 жыл бұрын
With Google translate ... What would be the dynamics of the exams (both this and others that I have seen) First there is a series of specific techniques and then it is a fight (in judo it would be randori, in BJJ what would it be called? Rolling?) I see it is very strenuous!
@corleonetoys12124 жыл бұрын
