I saw Beck live the day Prince died. He did a 30+ minute encore of all Prince songs. One of the best concert highlights if my life. It was amazing

Björk is potentially the greatest artist in a generation. Since long before I dove into the audiophile community I've understood that she does art in a way no other modern musicians do.

What a wonderful presentation. I guess I know what I'm doing this coming year . I'm familiar with Bjork's 1st album and with Sea Change and Guerro but I pretty much thought that was where it ended. I can't wait to feast my ears on these 2 artists and all that I have missed by them. Thank you so much Period

Timely video for me as I've been digging back into Beck in a big way the last few weeks. The Information, Guero, Sea Change, Modern Guilt, and Midnight Vultures especially. I too played Odelay and Vultures in the car constantly with my son when he was growing up. Now you've inspired me to dig further into Bjork who I'm much less familiar with beyond Debut and Post. Looking forward to it. Thanks for the vid.

Great video, Mazzy. My son got me on to Beck and I returned the favor with Bjork. I agree that they are two of the best artists making music.

Homogenic and the remix of Post (Telegram) are amazing. And Selmasongs, the soundtrack for Dancer In The Dust. I found myself purchasing her video DVDs which brought so much more understanding of her work, because she is such a visual artist, as well.

Great video as always (So is the additional video). Been a Beck fan for some time. He is one of the special shared artists I have with my Pop expert son. We’ll be seeing him a second time this summer. I’m intrigued about Bjork. I’ve never given her any chance but now can say I have the broader taste to do so and you are igniting yet another cool artist for me. This is exactly why I follow you Mazzy, I appreciate the info on this unique artist. ✌️

Love your program, and I agree a hundred percent about Beck and Bjork. Trouble is that although I have them all on cd (and some Beck on vinyl) , I'm very tempted now to look for the vinyl versions. Also looking forward to your take on the Fragments box. I think it's fantastic. There was an issue with one album that was warped, but that was replaced rightaway, fortunately.

Thank you so much for this discussion and salute to these two creative minds. I do agree on their important legacy and uniqueness. I agree they're two of the most important and creative artists of the last 30 years and then I would add Nick Cave!

Great video Mazzy. I've been totally captivated with Bork since Debut and saw her live on the Post tour - probably the most trouser-flapping bass I've ever heard (or felt). I recently bought Fossora on vinyl, although have not played it yet. But you've set my appetite so that shall be rectified asap. Love your channel!

Great vid. I love both artists but don't know all their music. Debut, Post, Homogenic, Vespertine is a great run of records. I'm catching up with Fossora. Lost track of Beck after Midnite vultures so this will inspire me to listen to more.

Great video, Mazzy! Around the time of Odelay, Beck was occasionally mentioned in conjunction with another pop master, Spookey Ruben. Unfortunately, Spookey had a lot of bad luck in terms of being in the industry. I'd recommend his "Modes of Transportation Vol. 1", "Bed" & "Breakfast" (his twin records from 2001), and "Mechanical Royalty", his foray into prog.

I've always liked Beck but somehow completely missed Bjork until last year when I first listened to one of her albums, Vespertine. I had never heard anything by her prior except the song Human Behavior. Vespertine blew me away, as has the rest of her work. I hope she comes around for a concert one day, because I'd love to see it.

i decided to trim my bjork collection. decided i dont need medulla/volta/biophilia/vulnicura. also sold my 2 live albums biophilia live/vulnicura live. also sold vulnicura with strings. fossora i never bought. just kept debut/post/homogenic/vespertine and utopia. also bought the selmasongs because overture/new world is one of the best things she has ever done. also bought the 12" single of play dead. which is an amazing song from her "debut" era. i plan to upgarde post and homogenic to 2lp 45rpm DMM pressings. already did it for debut.

Bjork’s first album was my favorite and some of the 12” mixes. I jumped off around the third album. I must say I love the cover art to Bjork’s albums, absolutely beautiful covers. I like some of the Beck albums but not everything. I still have the Loser single with the nutty b side, MTV makes me smoke crack..😊

With the exception of a few songs I might have heard on the radio, I'm oblivious to both of these artists; but that's no surprise since I've been a cynical curmudgeon for the last 40 years. But I respect your opinion so I'll check these two out.
