Over 340,000km (>211,000mi) and all that's wrong is some worn out ball joints, suspension bushings, rock hammered radiators in the front and a couple of minor leaks in the AC system. That's very good performance overall. Great video series Bjorn! Really interesting and excellent results so far!
@GoldenCroc3 жыл бұрын
To be fair, those are hardly the only parts being faulty during those 340k km. Considering the earlier parts Bjorn changed when he owned the car last time, the reliability is below average. But on the other hand, that was maybe to be expected for a new automaker using a, mostly new, technology.

I wonder if there is some sort of Award for Bjorn for his dedication to electric vehicles. I have been watching these videos for quite a few years and Bjorn has never let us, the viewer, down for any reason. Who still posts a video when they are ill? Bjorn of course. Is there a Norwegian award, a European one for outstanding service to the public. Plus, Bjorn is not an official of any kind, this is what he likes to do. What a guy. I can't believe that 28 people (or BOTS) gave a thumbs down. Grrrrrr!

I think the award is how many people view his videos, thumb up them, that he gets other people or companies to help (Marcusbil, MisterGreen), car manufacturers the provide new cars, etc. Very nice to see that.

I am experiencing a few minor items, like a clunk noise in the rear when I accelerate and decelerate. Also I have always noticed clunk and what feels like gear train slop when I go over speed bumps, but that could also be suspension issues with the control arms. First off all: Good to see you back on track. When I bought my Tesla Model S 70 D back in 2015, I started following you. I learned a lot of your tips and tricks. So seeing you driving in Millennium Falcon brings back a lot of memories. I sold my car after 5 years and over 193,000 km. I am now in between cars. I have not decided what EV I will buy next. Your tests are valid to me, because these are based on a day to day-situation, although I live in the Netherlands. I'm looking forward to see more tests and road trips with Milennium Falcon. It would be fun to see you redo some of your early roadtrips and find out how much is changed in the last years. I think you can do some trips now quicker, because of the increased number of (super)chargers. Will you upgrade your car, so it can charge at V3-chargers or CCS or is that not possible?
@janklomp97293 жыл бұрын
@@TheSteinbitt I haven't made up my mind. Tesla Model S LR and Y LR, BMW i4 and iX3, and Audi Q4 E-tron (Sportback) are cars I'm considering. Tesla wins points when it comes to range and charging possibilities. Only when I was on a roadtrip, during holidays, I used superchargers. For daily drive upto 225km a day I charged at home, overnight. I had considered a Audi E-tron 50, but the range was to short for my daily drive or I had to invest extra money to buy a 55. In a 50 I should have to stop during the day for charging. That will go fast, but you lose time and it is way more expensive then charging at home overnight. At this moment is only the BMW iX3 available for testdrives. All the other cars will come in late 2021, in the Netherlands. Driving the Model S for over 5 years was great, but not cheap, due to maintenance costs. When it comes to a choice between an Audi E-tron and a Tesla Model S, I know what I would choose.
