Bjorn's "Yo, what's up" is one of those universal reference points that confirm we haven't suddenly found ourselves in a parallel universe ... I think. ... what if? ... do we really know? I really like the classic non-autopilot instrument panel. I can understand why the autopilot-enabled display is thought to be better, but what does it actually do? I have never had anything useful out of seeing my (static) car surrounded by jerky ghost vehicles. The driving pleasure focus and aesthetics of the old display are much, much better. Why doesn't Tesla make this selectable? The code is obviously there, it should be very simple to implement.

Actually, it is dependant on whether the resale is from Tesla, or was sold at auction, or private/ dealership. If bought used from Tesla they remove that from the car, if sold at auction then there is a good chance it was removed. If private or dealership good chance it still has it, but not guaranteed. That is why it is important to look at the history of the Vehicle. If you see at some point one of the owners bought used from Auction or through Tesla you know before going to buy what to expect. The only reason I know this is because I am looking to buy a late model 2014 Model S. those would be the first with the autopilot 1.0 really is just advanced cruise control. but they are hard to find especially when you Rule out cars that are White, no sunroof, and wanting to spend under 30K USD.

I wonder what answer it gives you. For me it would be to buy a new one. Battery, motor, suspension, colling, AC, wiper - all had been changed or rebuilt. Basically anything that moves. And average consumption is nowhere near to the numbers presented in these two optimistic tests (in one of previous videos there was total charge taken by the new battery and if we divided those 260k on new battery by that, it gave ~310Wh/km)

The Tesla battery BMS is probably one of the best out there, because it actually tunes itself to the age of the battery. LiPo batteries can hold charge for a very long time, and they can go through so many cycles, but the characteristics of the cell changes over time, internal resistance increases, batteries develop the LiPo specific memory-effect, fielding and all that. Where other manufacturers just give up on the cell Tesla takes the age into account. Your perception of the calibration is incorrect - the battery will always return the charged capacity minus the losses, but during a full charge cycle the cells and packs are balanced to perfect full-charge symmetry. The next few discharges are used for the calibration of the percentage value of the battery resulting not in a much larger capacity, but less stress on the cells and the packs since the low-discharge stress on the cells in minimised . If this adds capacity, then that capacity will be added to the available capacity reported by the battery. The main indication that your batteries have aged is the fact that they produce more heat during fast charging and that the BMS reduces the charging speed earlier.
