19:22 The problem is exactly what you said. If we compare it to other cars (some of them are way more cheaper) than this lexus is very pricy. The kwh consumption was kinda good but the price/range part of this car is a bit shiiiiet😅. Seems like a bit that toyota and lexus don’t want so many ev costumers😕

I have the RZ here in Canada (still no update for the %). On range mode the max speed is limited to 100km/h while using the cruise control only since when you accelerate it starts the front motor even in range mode. There’s definitely a sweet spot for range mode since at 100km/h (or max power on the rear motor) it is really inefficient.

Use eco for optimal range. Hvac off and seat ventilation on auto. Works great as long as it is not too hot. ACC on as long as you drive on "free" roads. Need more range? Buy something else. With 80.000 Leafs on Norwegian roads - all with less range - it feels a somewhat constructed issue though. That said, lighter wheels was helping us as it came on the uncomfortable 20". Norway has a lot of terrible rough asphalt. A test that reflects our long trip this summer, so thank you. If we manage 1,4 - 1,5 Kwh consumption on most roads that equals to 425 - 450 km range 100-0% on the available 64 Kwh on the bZ4X AWD. Works well going the planned 350-500 km a day. Please tell me what other new car (same spec Executive Bitone) I could have decided for (Tesla + chinese was never an option) within a pricerange

Ioniq 5/6, kia ev 6. If u buy an electric car from a manufacturer who doesn't believe in electric cars u will suffer in some ways. I hope you like it and will serve you well but i wouldn't buy anything from toyota even if it's free.

Bjorn nailed it at the end. If you value all the things Lexus provides (comfort, luxury, driving, reliability of vehicle and dealer service quality, etc) and do not place range at the top of your altar to the EV gods, then this car is amazing. The car DC charges fast enough for 99.99% of people’s needs, they are selling at amazing prices due to the poo-pooing by the EVangelists. This will be my next car. Thanks Bjorn for a properly balanced review. Would love to see the noise level rating of the RZ, it doesn’t show up on the list yet. I agave single sided deafness, so a quiet cabin has made it to the top of my priority list.

Oh yeah, that's so nice! A friend and I, we want to make our second Roadtrip from middle Germany to North Cape in two weeks with our both 38 kWh IONIQs. This year we will drive the Norway route, last year we drove the Sweden route. So it is really nice from IONITY to lower the price for us. Last year it was cheap and this year too 😊

the higher the price the more it pays off solar+battery.....I'm on 0.09€/kWh (Portugal) and there are cheaper options in the market. They are now trying to increase prices with higher tax (grid access) per kWh.

Guys, Dont forget we pay 0,08€/kwh for energy 0,08€/kwh grid 0,025€/kwh electricty fee for our ritirement system, 0,016€/kwh for the Community/town you live in, 0,02/kwh fees for highvoltage grid, offshore wind power, and heatelectricity combination and 19% tax on top of that. In norway they may just have energy and Grid System is Charged on a yearly base (Like in spain) depends on how much Maximum amps your home cable can deliver and what safety lock your energy supplier puts you in.

You need solar panels and a 15kwh solar battery

or just buy "balcony solar panels" that you can even buy for 300-800 Euro at lidl or aldi. These are "mobile solarpanels" that you can plug in directly into your outdoor plugs and it will reduce your standby consumption and eventually your 73 cents per kwh price to maybe 50-60. Do the math, you should be able to get the invested money back in 1-2 years.
