In my G9 the pinch to zoom is really fast, this one seems sluggish...
@savedfaves3 ай бұрын
The G9 and G6 have different processors (ask GPT) so it may be a hardware issue. I do know, for example, early Lucid Air cars had pinch-to-zoom and sluggish software issue that were fixed ONLY via Lucid fortunately offering existing owners a processor chip upgrade path without the need to buy a whole new car-the right move given the situation. Other corporate design culture issues for Xpeng is their propensity for tiny writing and too much display information. Software designers must understand text and icon sizes and touch target sizes, and knowing what to leave out. You cannot learn this on a whim; you need design leaders with decision authority who understand this design philosophy.

There is nothing revolutionary about Xpeng. They charge really fast and thats important to some people. Their software is decent, but i dont really understand why its so important. Most use AA/ACP anyway. I was really focused on how fast the car could charge when i was looking, but going through a winter where i were using fast chargers almost exclusively with 35.000km/year in my Polestar 2, i came to realize that sub 30 mins from 10-80% is more than enough. Never thought i should say it, but MEB cars from Volkswagen group are actually really good. Their new software works just as it should and their cars are just really good to drive. And i bet you that TCO is about the same, or maybe even better for MEB cars.

The Chinese G9 went up to 475kW charging speed, 2 years ago already, if you bought it with that option in China. And China actually has a few charging stalls (some exploited by Xpeng themselves) that can reach that speed. Kind of a shame that they didn't release the option in the EU. Would have been fun to obliterate the competition when it comes to charging speed although it would be practically pretty useless due to our slower charging infrastructure.

A Porsche Taycan charges with 320-325kW peak and demands 300kW from the charger until 60% SoC. It has a C-Charge rate of 3.2C, very close to the values mentioned above. Taycan charges from 10-80% in 18min, slightly faster due to a slightly increased max C-charge rate, but mainly because of better themal management and BMS which enable the battery to take in high charge rate for wider SoC ranges. Degradation will be quite the same in all of these (except that the BYD LFP battery generally has more degradation buffer due to higher number of charge cycles).

@@Tescam14 Its because local data providers provide better data to Chinese manufacturers in China than what European data providers provide to Chinese manufacturers in the European market. "Your point proves that this is happening." Your point proves you are a bit of a simpleton.

@@ensteffo so you are denying that data is being sent to China? Why is the USA Govt concerned about all the data that EVs capture and Bjorn commenting on it all the time. Have you not even thought that Chinese made EVs may be the ability to be shutdown remotely by the CCP in the event of war. So if data is being sent to China, wouldn't it be quicker from China than Norway?

Xpeng G6 Performance literally has more range than the Model Y Performance and it charges faster, too. It should even beat the Model Y "LR" AWD, it certainly does on a 1000km roadtrip.

You should test drive the two cars at the same speed to compare their performance.

consumption is very high and this evs are just like my children s remote toy cars. they are very overpriced. once I with my frend Ev stuck in traffic about 3 hours in winter so that was catastrophic..

An EV doesn't consume much in 3 hours in stand still traffic... Stop lying. Björn even have videos here on his channel that Model S survived over 100 hours stationary with 23 degrees cabin heat in winter.

@@Danne89 First of all, if you don't know person, you shouldn't insult him and accuse him of lying, otherwise you will meet someone who will cut your tongue for such behavior! Second, not everyone has an model S with a huge battery and the car can't be full charged all the time, so you're a small boy, you don't have the life experience and you don't have the courtesy, I recommend you to prepare lessons.

@@jasonhe1287 personally i’ve phev Volt and my friends Leaf and eGolf so in warm weather its ok but in winter its disaster, we do not have such a wide network of chargers as in Northern Europe or America. and what is your experience about EV Share, maybe there is something that I don't know
