No matter the playthrough, for some reason, this gun always shows up as my 1st legendary gun and it carries me for 15 or so levels. It's like the Gub reincarnated lol

This pistol is incredibly underrated. Even if the Beacon and Radical over shadowed it, the Hellshock still stands outs on itself just for its unique ricochet pattern. It's capable of melting minus prime Guardians, which is enough to earn a spot in your collection ngl

What I had trouble understanding is that instead of simply buffing the carrier to the point of being usable they decided to put in twice the effort by designing and coding an entirely new weapon,that being the free radical. This happened with a couple different guns actually. Like they were genuinely unwilling to tweak a weapon so they abandoned it and made a new one with drastically improved damage,a different manufacturer,but the exact same effect. Still an awesome game tho(and the video was great too).

I feel this the hardest with the Dictator and Monarch. Dictator is still one of my favorite ARs and it's sad to have it be not only barely useable but also completely replaced.

I just used this in Story Mode all the way till the end. It's easy to get early on and just level farm with it. I got to M10 now, and it still works, just a little more effort. I'm going on DLC farming runs now. Got to get the sexier ones because I'm shot out on Hellshock for a while.

Would love to see a video of the Garcia. I never really see it in builds and used to shred a lot more when it was a fire as fast as you can pull the trigger shotgun until they changed it. It still shreds but not as much as it used to.

i would say that a reasonable buff would be decreased charge up time, mostly for flak and moze that suffer more from it. i personally love the hellshock and i used it a ton, but the charge up time it's annoying

I remember taking a break from bl3 and getting this gun when I got back into the game. Carried through mayhem 4 back then and got my build up to day with it, then literally on the SAME FUCKING DAY they dropped the update that reworked mayhem to the current mayhem 1-10 system Good times

It's so hard to motivate oneself to use the Hellshock on a 'Maliwan weaps only (for fun)'- Amara build.. as the damn Radical is like an auto-rocketlauncher-nuke, with homing bonus projectiles, as it's element don't matter as much on her (and no, I don't do much Mayhem 11 bossing with her anyway). It would fit in so well on a 'for fun' build, but I'd had to sell the Free Radical to feel that the Hellshock and it's entertaining ricochets are 'fun' enough to compensate.
