Hello Mr.nizar, Creatinine is not the only factor to decide whether telmisartan or amlodipine is better. There are many other things to look before we choose a medicine for high bp. Please visit your personal doctor for deciding . You can watch the full series on high bp. I have mentioned few points. Based on that you can know which medicine will be best for you.

Consequent on the angioplasty done in Dec 2016, I have been taking Losar 50 mg along with other tablets ( ecospirin75 mg, clopidogrel, metolar 50 mg, atorva 20 mg) Presently my BP is never more than 110/70 . And sometimes it falls to 90 /60 especially after the morning walk. I think , with regular exercise , I can normalize the BP. Is it possible to stop BP medicine once for all.

My husband has normally low bp 100/70. Taking ecospirin 150 mg, ezedoc 10, ranistar 5, starpress since 2013 after putting two stents. He is now diabetic also hba1c is 11 n started medication. Due to enlarged prostate glands medicines for that. Yesterday he started prostabest 160 mg at night. Today morning he had severe headache and bp was 76/50. After salty juices it gradually increased n now by evening it is 116/68. Please explain is it medicine reaction?

Hi Shobhana, Prostabest is saw palmetto extract used for BPH. I hope your treating doctor is an allopath. This medication can cause headache but I couldn't find any information on lowering blood pressure. And HbA1c 11 is not acceptable. None of my patients till date have HbA1c of more than 8 by God's grace due to good control by medicines and lifestyle adjustments. I advice you to discuss with your doctor before you give another dose. Hope this was useful. Thankyou

Sir രണ്ടു ദിവസത്തിന് മുന്നേ എനിക്ക് പെട്ടന്ന് ഒരു തലവേദന വന്നു വീട്ടിൽ വച്ചു bp നോക്കിയപ്പോൾ 163/123 ആയിരുന്നു, കുറച്ചു കഴിഞ്ഞു നോക്കിയപ്പോളും അത് തന്നെയാരുന്നു പിന്നെ omiting start ചെയ്തു ഹോസ്പിറ്റലിൽ പോയി night control ആയി പിറ്റേ divasam NPD clinic കാണിച്ചാരുന്നു അപ്പോൾ normal ആയി ഇന്ന് evening വീണ്ടും 150/110 ആയി
