Black Adam takes this. He's arguably stronger, equal in speed and durability, has magic and is more brutal and ruthless that Kallark. Besides, if Gladiator starts to Doubt himself, even a little bit, he's done.

He’s not stronger. He’s not faster and durability seems equal. Gladiator has ranged attacks that BA doesn’t and he’s arguably more brutal. His freeze breath and heat vision which decapitated Namor.

@@TommyGordon82579+ Not so. Kallark (Gladiator) didn't decapitate Namor with heat vision, that was Hyperion. I said BA is ARGUABLY stronger, but he's about the same speed as Kallark (which i did say already) and like we both agreed, durability seems roughly equal. BA has laughed off Superman's freeze breath and it has better feats than Gladiator's. BA also has the ability to summon lightning and even project it as a magical ranged attack. So he absolutely has ranged abilities. Also, Kallark has been hurt by Thor's lightning before so he should at least feel BA's as well. . I admit Gladiator had the potential to be incredibly brutal himself, but he generally shows more restraint than Adam due to his own personal code. Unlike BA who, once he actually decides to fight, very much aims to beat down his opponent as brutally and ruthlessly as possible.

Your point about ruthlessness of BA vs confidence of Gladiator is interesting. Though in the past, the more vile or threatening an opponent is, the more fired up Gladiator becomes. He knows exactly how powerful the Phoenix is Thanos are, but it doesn't make him cower. It fires him up to the point where even Thanos has proclaimed that Gladiator is the most dangerous one of all the Annihilators, which included the likes of Silver Surfer and Beta Ray Bill.

You seem to forget about Gladiators team fights... when he came to earth the first time he encountered the Fantastic Four and easily defeated them...then the X-Men showed up and he was defeating them to then the Star Jammers showed up and they finally took him down...so he took on the Fantastic Four...the X-Men and the Star Jammers all at the same time and was barely defeated...also don't forget he knocked out Thor with two punches and was going to kill him until Thor Girl saved him...knocked out Vulcan (an Omega level mutant) with a single punch and broke Hyperion's vertebrae in seconds....don't underestimate the might of Gladiator

DC Caption Marvel is now Shazam and some where along the line Shazam got powers like Superman, Marvels Caption Marvel has been replaced with a girl, The Hulk is a cream puff from what he was, Thor lost his hammer and Odin is dead. WOW but I'm not upset because it's all make believe anyway. What upsets me is Hollywood and the righters butcher movies that could have been good but they make it so crazy along with their malty Universe that's it's almost unwatchable. I like the days when DC had one Universe and Marvel had one Universe only to keep track of. Now they got 10 deferent power levels of the same Super Hero in 10 deferent Universes. That is just stupid but nothing I can't live with or change. I will come back to the Box Office when DC, Marvel and Hollywood comes back down from smoking whatever it is they are smoking.

Gladiator abilities being tied to his powers isn’t a “weakness” per say...because he is extremely confident in his abilities it is actually his greatest strength as it allows him to overcome limits ... i’m not sure why people think it would be easy for people to sway his belief in himself...The times when that did happen it was because the situation made no sense not because his opponent was powerful and ruthless... Honestly Gladiator wins!...He has better feats and they are actually quantifiable...You have to make too many assumptions in order for black Adam to win.

Gladiator at his greatest confidence level is a Superman copy, who Black Adam owns at the same time with Shazam. Black Adam wins due to his power, speed, and ruthlessly dominating aura that will without a doubt put a crack in Gladiator's confidence as the battle starts to tip in Adam's favor (early in the battle). The battle starts with Adam relentlessly striking Gladiator with incredibly fast punches in tandem with magic bolts. These bolts are no joke and Gladiator doesn't have a real response to them and other magic Adam has.

While I don't disagree with the outcome generally (a fight that really could go either way), I do disagree with how you came to the conclusion. The idea of Gladiator losing confidence is misapplied here. Gladiator doesn't lose confidence because someone is his physical equal or getting the better of him in a fight. He loses confidence if he questions whether he is doing the right thing (i.e. should I be fighting this person), or if he is fooled into thinking something should limit his ability (like when he believed Rocket Raccoon had a weapon that limited his power).

If the fight happened in The DCU, they'd invent some kind of suit for Deathstroke to enhance his strength, speed, etc., then they'd give him some kind of gun or a device to attack Cable and neutralize his powers, just like they always do whenever he faces a Hero he shouldn't last five minutes against.
