Man! You remind me of me when I was younger. I am a Black-American man who speaks Mandarin fluently as well and all of your videos remind me of when I was growing up and speaking Chinese to people as a kid. It was hilarious. Now I'm in my mid-40s and still mess with people from time to time. If you haven't noticed my handle means bilingual in Dutch. To this day people always ask me how many languages do I speak. I never tell them because it bothers some and others applaud it. When switching dialects it really messes with Chinese people. When you go from Cantonese to Mandarin or vice versa they are really shook! Keep doing what you do young brother. If you ever want to chop it up, just let me know. I'm going to start following your channel to see what you're up to. And Laoshu was a cool ass dude. I wish I could have met him.

Have you ever seen the video of Laotshu talking to some older Chinese-American fishermen? When he spoke Mandarin to a Mandarin speaker the guy was pleased in the typical fashion of his videos. When he spoke Cantonese to the Cantonese speaker he got REALLY excited, I'm sure because it was more rare for outsiders to speak Cantonese. In fact, he invited Laotshu to come to his house for dinner with his family.

Nothing wrong with being too American.. We literally lead/opened up the world to actual human rights. We are literally the melting pot of ethnicities and nobody is forced to truly assimilate. How could you expand your horizon anymore... Most of the U.S ethnicities countries of origin are corrupt as hell. Only worth sight seeing and visiting for a while.. Also btw i caught something on this youtuber. He's racist as hell. This goof said *"men, we must protect all women and especially our black women"* What in the hell is that shit.. I would never say that about a white lady over a black lady.. brainwashed mask wearing racist as usual. He's just as bad as the guy he was crying about.

@Beth-pf6oo 2 жыл бұрын
@@BlazedBob The US is also corrupt as hell, and it in no way led or opened up the world to human rights. It doesn't even make it into the top 10 of any polls that rank countries on personal, economic and political freedoms. So, it currently isn't leading anything. And it isn't racist to want to look out for the safety of a marginalized group of people within a larger marginalized group. What kind of person is bothered by a young man caring about the welfare of a group of people? What seems way more racist is getting worked up over that comment at all. And insinuating that most of the countries people come from aren't worth living in is pretty shitty too.

@@BlazedBob I honestly woudn't say that the US leads the world as far as human rights are concerned because of its implications in wars, there are other western countries that are a lot less implicated in these kind of matters. For example I don't think that invading Irak is great showcase of human right respect, lots of people died there for purely economic interests of the US.

But but then I came across you Frankie & it inspired me and urged me to want to learn Chinese. My mother is Hawaiian & Chinese and doesn't speak either of her native languages. I moved to New York less than 2 years ago and with covid-19 still affecting the borough's I have a lot more free time. I moved here from North Carolina but I'm originally from Hawaii so that's what drew me to you hearing you refer to them as Auntie and Uncle cuz that's what we do in Hawaii. Keep being great spreading your knowledge & helping others bridges the language barrier.

When you defended that elderly lady reminded me of a time when I visited France, now as a Black Muslim woman I know the hate is real in a place like France, racism and xenophobia is normalised. So I was waiting in the waiting room at the train station and saw a Muslim lady praying , from the door I saw this French couple walking back and forth looking at her in an intimidating way to mock her . I wasn't praying and I don't wear the hijab but wear a turban , I stared them down (aggressively) and made sure that when she finished praying I stood between the French xenophobic couple and the Muslim lady , I stared them down and their stare averted from the Muslim lady to a humble look on the floor. It's an obligation for us to protect our people by any means necessary.
