Hi RAD Garage. What I personally like about this project is that you list some or maybe all the specific products you use. For me that is very helpful. I am probably the exception to the rule in regards to music. I truly love the stuff you play but on a daily basis music is very optional for me. My wife on the other hand loves music in her head as much of the day as possible. As "Holy Business" says below..."the music is so soothing"....and that is true....glad you have it. Thanks!
@RADGarage5 жыл бұрын
lead dog Thanks man. The music is what makes it all come together for me. It is a huge inspiration to my video projects and I can’t see me ever eliminating music from my videos, but I am becoming more comfortable being in front of the camera so look for a balance of both in future projects.

@@RADGarage Hi Rick, I understand the importance of the music component for you completely. It's part of your "brand" and indespensible for your videos. It's actually growing on me too. Most of us are a work in progress...I hope for the better in my case. I love your productions for many reasons...music IS one of those reasons...it's what we all expect from a Rad Garage video. Thanks for sharing your artistry with us.

Well my wife and I have been away for the weekend and I'm just getting settled in. It's about 2am Monday morning and since I'm still a bit wired from all the driving I did this weekend I thought it was perfect timing when I got home that there was a RAD Garage video in my inbox. It was perfect to sit here and watch as I get ready to go to bed and turn in for the day. I found watching this so relaxing and so comfortable to wind down from a busy day. Rick I really enjoyed the video...I'm a "Yes" vote in all your fans as far as seeing you in the video. I think it's great because your work is so exceptional it's great to put a face to all that talent. I called my wife in to watch the part of you using the toothpicks to pry out specs of dirt in the leather perforation....wow. talk about attention to detail. Since your a teacher I bet a good percentage of your students watch the videos you create and many probably read these comments..so let me address them for a second....hey kids....you can learn an awful lot about how focusing your attention on a project can really show dramatic and amazing results. Rick's level of perfection is something you guys should emulate as he teaches you in your coursework...take your passion and your talent (whatever that may be) and use this work ethic demonstrated by your teacher and apply it in your own lives. Rick, just a terrific video and thanks for giving me a 20 minute window to relax, get my mind ready for sleep and just the chance to chill out before bed. Your client will be thrilled with what you did in those 8 hours. Thanks again and have a terrific week ahead.

Format and content was great. Music choice was fitting for the content as well. I was struck that this 4-day event encompassed only 8 hours of work. There is something so beautiful about foam. Some people question the necessity of the foam process, but I love it just for the optics and feel it gives my projects. I also believe thrusting foam into the various cracks and crevices on a vehicle's exterior is the most effective way of dislodging dirt that is hiding in those spaces.

What an amazing video Rick. We see so many detailers that just "get on with it" which is fine in itself but it doesn't give us the true perception of what problems arise, challenges have been discovered and basically an overall feel of what you, the detailer, are experiencing. I really enjoyed this format, the videography was exceptional as always and now we have a connection with you over the weeks project which gives us an understanding of what you are doing and most importantly...why it needed to he done. 10 out of 10 from Bournemouth in the UK Rick. Like the new format. I still think that you could get away with two videos for each car, one with more wash content and no talking, and one with more in depth commentary and less video of the process itself. How did you build your floor system to allow for indoor car Washing? Great benefit when it's freezing cold outside.
@RADGarage4 жыл бұрын
So, there's no real magic here. The style of the floor allows for the free flow of water underneath so the water just flows out the garage door. I am not able to do water washes on really cold days because that water will freeze once it hits the garage door apron. Anything above 0 degrees Celsius and I'm good to go.

I use OOO and OOOO steel wool with Adam’s multi-use foaming cleaner and P21 S polishing soap. I used to use SOS pads but I don’t anymore. I don’t see anything wrong with it but the wool is a bit coarse comparatively

What did you use on the black trim surrounding the windows?
@RADGarage5 жыл бұрын
Nathan Niemiec Nothing fancy. I just cleaned that trim with ECO All Purpose Cleaner by Adam’s. I considered coating it with a black trim restorer but I didn’t want it to smear on the windows since the glass comes into contact with that trim.

@RADGarage4 жыл бұрын
Thanks. I do this purely for the enjoyment of it so I'm glad it shows through. I am using the Daytona Speedmaster Pro wheel brush in this video (and almost all of my other videos) but it has been discontinued. I find the EZ Detail Go Wheel Brush to be equally effective: amzn.to/2J3o1a5
