@@baritonebynight because other Disney villains have such a great track record. What with Jafar needing a street rat to get the lamp and then letting Aladin trick him into becoming a genie then later failing to keep track of oh so vital lamp as it gets kicked into a lava pit HE made. Scar trying to weasel out of trouble by blaming the hyenas only for them to hear and tear him to shreds. Ursula making herself a giant, easy to impale target while ship with nice sharp point on the front sails around. The Horned King actually came close to having an immortal unkillable army the could have used to steam roll anyone in his way and stopping him required one of the heroes to commit suicide. Not to mention the army of monsters he already had that were too scared of him to defy him.

You would never hear a line like that in today's Disney. They've practically bowed to all this woke bullshit and they're scared shitless about who they offend. Disney used to have have balls of steel. Now....not so much.
@death-king18344 жыл бұрын
@@davidstone281 Even without all the woke bullshit they've pandered with, they've become increasing one of the most uncreative and unimaginative corporate giants in the last decade or so. A complete stark contrast of what they had been before hand for decades. I blame this practically on the likes of Bob Iger who was pretty much one of the most uncreative innovators the company has probably ever had. Even Eisner for a lot of his stupid decisions had way more creative innovation to Bob, who mostly just bought up other studios and run their I.Ps (Star Wars) into the ground. Even watering down their own brand with a slew of lazy, pointless and watered down ''reimaginings'' of their animated classics. Walt would be spinning in his fucking grave if he could see the company he built has turned into.
@davidstone2814 жыл бұрын
@@death-king1834 Oh Walt would be furious. When I tell people I love Disney, I'm talking about the Disney I grew up with. Up until "Tangled" and "The Princess and the Frog". Even though I was in high school when those two came out, they reminded me of the Disney I grew up with. Sure they've still put out a few good films here and there. Inside Out, Coco and Moana. But there's a difference between loving the films and the company. I will always love the old school films and the Disney I grew up with. Do you see what I'm trying to say lol. I just woke up and still kinda tired so this whole little rant probably don't make sense.
@death-king18344 жыл бұрын
@@davidstone281 I think Tangled is my cut off point when it comes to their animated stuff. While I like that film I can't help but wonder how much more beautiful it would have been had it used 2D animation as opposed to 3D. Which is another why Disney has become a former shell of it's former self when it decided to do away with it's traditional drawn content. I understand it was due to the fact at the time 2D animated movies didn't make as much money when compared to 3D but now everything looks the same. There's no unique style to any of their movies now. Everything now just looks like Pixar. Though Disney wasn't the first to do away with 3D animation but everything in the animation industry just looks all the same. Most of their other films after Tangled have ranged from 'alright', to mediocre to just plain crap.

It would be kind of hard to do. The Chronicles of Prydain series is relatively too new in comparison to other books. I think that the most recent tale that they can justify putting into the show was probably Peter Pan; it came out in 1905, whereas the Chronicles were out in the 60's. Besides, ask any fan around and you'll find a marginally select few still incensed by this movie. Having never read the books, I still think it's 'okay' to watch, even if it is Disney's least successful film (which says something; that their least successful is marginally okay to watch shows just how powerful a company they are), but I know the feeling of watching a favored book series become marred by a bad movie. However, since the Horned King needs a sacrifice to make the Cauldron Born, he takes advantage of Maleficent's orders, kills Sora, seals his heart and the essence of Light within it in a vial (to keep Maleficent off his back), and uses his corpse to raise the Cauldron Born. After Sora "awakens," the Horned King has control over him, and orders him to lead the Cauldron Born on their conquest. The heroes have to resurrect Sora by getting him to return to the Black Cauldron, and then reunite his heart with his bones while he's trapped inside.
