The fight was basically all Sakuga which isn't even possible for something like MHA or AOT for a complete season so for a weekly anime like BC its impossible. Tho the overall animation has increased from past arcs and i am sure all major battles in the upcoming Spade kingdom arc will be Sakuga as well

From my perspective, they purposedly do this so that they would have enough time to animate it, by reducing the animation needed in previous episodes, they will have extra time to focus on a specific episode to make it better than others, which is normal as 1 week wouldn't be enough to finish it all. Example of the fail is when asta black form vs the diamond person thing that sucks power, it kinda be like that if they don't do it properly

Well the team is underpaid, and understaffed. And they don't have much time. So we're lucky to get even decent animation. Now they have more time and people to manage. Even tho they're still low on all that, they're doing pretty great in my eyes
