@@sabelomguba7619 I would really love to go to South Africa one day. Sabelo, I hope you and your ohana are staying safe with all the civil unrest going on right now. It’s so sad that a small minority of your country is causing so much chaos and destruction. You all have been in my thoughts everyday for the last week and I’m sending y’all lots of love and aloha from Hawai’i. PS - I think you’d like Hawai’i. It’s probably the only state in America where dark skin is the beauty standard. I’m a 5th generation Japanese American and I come from a family of laborers (plantation workers, farmers, and fishermen) so unlike the 95% of Japanese who are very fair complected…the brown in my profile picture is as light as I get, but when I go fishing or surfing a lot, I get really dark…people would call me “papa’a”, the Hawaiian word for “burnt”, and it was always in the form of a compliment. The reason is that Native Hawaiians are very melanin wealthy..so most people in Hawai’i see dark skin as beautiful, and I love that about my home state. In fact, I grew up with a friend who’s African American and he was born and raised here. Well he moved to Texas 20 years ago and came home last summer on holiday and brought 3 of his friends with him, all of them are African American…they all couldn’t believe how different it is here compared to their home state. So I hope you get to come here one day, and I hope I get to go to 🇿🇦 one day!🤞🏽

I concur 100%. I’m glad that the world is slowly seeing just how beautiful African women are, and I don’t just mean from Africa, I mean women who have African blood. Maybe ‘cause I grew up being told that brown skin is beautiful, I have a hard time understanding how anyone could look at Zozibini and not see a stunning beautiful woman. Let’s be real, when you take hair out of the equation and you’re still more gorgeous than your competition…they’re not completion. 😉 I loved your comment Jessa, it was so honest and straight forward…but most of all, I love seeing women lifting up other women. Sending you and your ohana lotsa love and aloha from Honolulu! 😁🤙🏽❤️🌈☀️ (just symbols of Hawai’i)

It's a surprise to many non-Africans (especially to folks in the West). I've met Africans from North, West, East, and Southern African regions and they all have had a vibe; an energy; and sense of African pride that I haven't seen in other groups of people. That's not to put down any other group, but to highlight the uniqueness of African people and the continent. It's an experience that's hard to put into words.

Coming out of a country based in Africa being known mostly for the positives we bring to the world makes our organisation a very proudly South African organisation. Thanks to you Trevor and the daily for this compilation.

What an inspiring, smart and authentic woman Zozibini Tunzi is. There is no doubt why she became Miss Universe. So glad she got chosen as a role model.
