I am lucky,only live a few miles away, and can and have visited a few times.Its well worth a visit, the people there are lovely.. The facilities excellent. Can recommend the fantastic real fish n chips there, believe me,thay are the best in the world.I look forward to going again in a couple of weeks time. It's Bostin.

Why did they change it's name from 'Black country museum ' to 'Black country living museum ' ? When the Black country museum was first set up it was a limited company however all it's staff were paid with Dudley Council wageslips. Paid using taxpayers money. It developed that this was far from ideal, as it made Dudley Council accused of funding the limited company using taxpayers money which was illegal under EU laws. Another day of Corruption ? Perhaps. Of course there may be another reason.. . .

Hello friend firstly thank you for watching and for your kind comment ❤️. Secondly we belive the name was changed due to the people in traditional costumes bring the place alive. Making it the living museum. We are not sure but may be the council sold it to a independent company. Anyway they are always trying to improve this site and over the years it grown by a third . Still a very interesting day out and well worth a visit if in the area. Take care and happy weekend Simon and Beth 🙋❤️
